I live in a soap opera **pregnancy briefly mentioned, not mine**

Okay, so, I live in a townhouse complex. Those of you in similar circumstances know that a sort of microcosm of society is established. H and I moved into our place in September 2012. In December 2012, a couple moved in to the unit to the left of us. They had moved there from BC, and we knew this because of their tendency to start screaming at each other at 1:30 in the morning. I ended up calling the cops on them once because they were slamming things so hard that MY closet doors were shaking.

Obviously, we didn't have the greatest relationship with them for the first year and a half they were here, even though the fighting did die down. Then suddenly, this summer, we started talking. Everyone here shares the back yard, and we all kind of hang out in it all summer. We weren't friends, but we talked, and when I went to pick blueberries at the end of the summer, I felt comfortable enough bringing some over to them.

They had talked about wanting to buy a house, and so 2 weeks ago when they started moving things out, I assumed that's what happened. Then today, I saw the guy moving stuff in, and my curiosity got the better of me. I went and asked him what was going on.

"Oh yeah, I got my mistress pregnant, so my girlfriend and I broke up and I'm moving the mistress in". Yes, he literally said mistress lol. I think my jaw probably dropped and all I could think of was "Oh, okay. Good luck."

I must be living in a soap opera. I gotta be. H and I are the only normal ones in at least the first 5 units on our side.

Oh, and to make matters even more confusing, according to MH, while girlfriend was moving stuff out, she was still all over guy O.o

Say what?! I think I would enjoy that soap opera playing out in front of me ...
I'd grab some popcorn and pull a chair onto my porch and watch the show

Okay, the funny thing is that MH has just in the past few weeks been talking about how he heard that there are polygamy communes out in BC. Now he's like "I wonder if they came from there?"

We'e heard some things coming from the house catty-corner, but it was never fighting, in fact it was just the opposite

Haha. We moved into our apartments in March and our neighbors would fight 24/7 and in their front hallway so it echoed through their door and you could hear word for word what was being said. I was so excited when they moved a few months later... Until they were replaced by the new crazies.. The other night I heard some manly screams and then "I'm bleeding you crazy drunk bitch" followed by glass shattering... She also parks in our spot all the time which is clearly marked... I can't wait to move in March!

Haha, the people on the left are just as bad. They broke up quite dramatically at 1 in the morning in the early summer. Basically he brought someone over that she didn't want there and she punched him and called the cops.
Also, apparently someone else here tried to rob a convenience store with a plastic bag over his head, but left when they said there was no money. Took the bag off and went back 5 minutes later asking if they had seen his "brother"

There was a group of young adults that moved in and were constantly fighting and/or screwing. That was fun, I found their snake in my basement. When they left, they trashed the place and dumped their fish on the back patio to die and subsequently rot.
Now in that unit is a young couple with 2 huge nasty dogs and a newborn *facepalm*

And then beside them is the guy who will threaten you with a shovel if you park in his spot, despite him not having a vehicle himself.

Wow. I am really appreciating my calm, law abiding, not-prone-to-yelling neighbors right now!

I agree with @stephy1221; I would say the screaming matches with slamming doors, etc. were a good precursor to this most recent chain of events.

Already seeing a problem that cropped up - mistress brought a great dane with her and the dog didn't shut up until an hour ago (1:30am). LLuckily I don't have to work tomorrow, but I normally have to bep by 6 am, so that's not going to fly v.v

I also live in a town home community and my favorite story is when I stumbled across my neighbor directly across from me in an amateur porn on the Internet. And yes it was taped in her house.

That same girl had given one of my neighbors a key when he was helping her paint. Evidently he made a copy and her boyfriend caught him in there one day... Holding a pair of her panties

And before I say this I want to mention I really don't live in a bad area but someone had a meth lab going in his place

It was definitely a shock to see her! At first I wasn't sure but then I noticed the inside of her place. I never told her I knew, it would have been awkward and I would essentially be admitting to my neighbor that I watch internet porn lol

@mflowers929 you really need to keep a close eye on them so you can update us for entertainment purposes

Another interesting thing, some years back I would always drive by to the neighborhood kids playing football. They would always stop and wave to me with big smile on their faces.

I always thought they were just nice and liked my car. I found out much later that my direct neighbor, around 14 or so at the time, told the neighborhood boys I was a porn star.

I also found out they walked past my place frequently trying to catch a peek lol
