Mh is OOT and I managed to cook breakfast, get out to the neighborhood winter festival, take Santa pics, feed them lunch, and get both girls down for a nap. Now I'm eating lunch alone and watching DVRd TV.
I think it's really important to celebrate our successes. So how have YOU rocked as a mom lately?

Woot woot. J will be out of town Monday and Tuesday. I can only hope to be as rockin'.

Yay super moms!

Hubs is out of commission again (stayed home sick on thurs, worked Fri, went to company dinner and drank lots of wine last night) and Alex developed a chest cold yesterday. So I got up with both girls, made an "emergency" pediatrician appt for A, made eggs and hash and French press coffee for breakfast all while hubs laid in bed.

Then I took A to the doctor, went to CVS for her albuterol Px, Wal-Mart for the nebulizer, Target for a birthday present, back to Wal-Mart to pick up the nebulizer, and home to wrap the present. Hubs and R were watching Ice Age... I got R ready for the birthday party, took her and A there (luckily MIL met us there so I could take A back home).

And while hubs hung out on the couch, I did dishes and laundry and cared for A. Oh, did I mention I have a head cold? It was definitely a Super Mom day today. Why are men such wusses when they are sick??

I got a load of laundry done and both children are still alive. I really only can claim responsibility for 50% of this statement though because J is still home on the last two days of his paternity leave.

We used cloth diapers during our 10 day road trip/vacation to see my grandparents and ended up spending 4 days in the hospital with my Grandma. We had our 3 month old with us the whole time. Tomorrow we drive the 14 hours home.

mh has been really sick since….Wednesday.  Like not moving off the couch, sick.  So I have been doing it all-laundry, cooking, cleaning, M down for a nap, bedtime routine, feeding all four pets AM and PM, and handling work and had an emergency call this morning that I had to go in for, unexpectedly.  

the house isn't so bad, either.  Just needs some straightening.  

Thank goodness this kid loves doing the dishes!

ETA and kicking ass with p90x in the evenings!!!

G escaped his crib last night. I put him down for a nap at noon. I logged in to work while he slept and got quite a bit done. When he woke up at 2 all four of us we shopping for big boy beds. I survived the 4 hour shopping trip with a toddler and a 9 year old who didn't want to be there. I also managed to talk DH out of a cowboy themed bed. (Nothing against anyone who has one, just not our style. I like more neutral furniture that will go with any bedding theme.)

Colton stn with my mom last night so today I only had the two younger ones, but I feel pretty accomplished considering I had 2u2 all by myself today (T had to work). I loaded the dishwasher, did two loads of clothes, and a load of diapers, folded clothes and put them away. Made the beds, put Harper down for a nap on time (Henry kind of naps on and off all day lol). Also nursed the baby every 2-3 hours without Harper causing any major damage to the house. My mom brought C home around 5:00. T still isn't home yet so I've had all 3 kids alone for 3 hours now. Did I mention I gave birth 8 days ago? I'm feeling pretty much like supermom right now

Ok, I reboke my badassedness. E is driving me BSC. I cannot wait for bedtime. She just NEVER stops talking. At the top of her lungs. And P is being super needy from her shots yesterday and also spitty today. And I'm just.... Done.

Sorry TJ.  It's all just a phase right? Wishing you an early bedtime for both girls and a yummy drink after for mommy!

I showered. Yesterday.

Seriously though, we all ha e the plague here too, so keeping everyone fed and occasionally doing laundry is about all I can handle here.

Oh, but I did manage to get both kids out for N's 4 month appt, complete with rockstar city parking, where N got a million shots, then D got a flu shot and they both did so well we walked over to Starbucks after. N slept in the sling, D got a pouch and sat nicely in a chair to eat it, then we all loaded back into the car and went home. I felt pretty good about that outing.

I designed and ordered the family Christmas cards while pumping at work and still taking calls on the phone since I was the charge nurse today. LO was home with a sitter. I don't know if this counts, but I've been stressed about taking pics and making cards bc life is busy and adulthood is hard sometimes. If I pick them up and mail them all by the end of the week, I will def feel like super mom.

I've been working full time over nights, parenting/cleaning during the day, and working vendor events on the weekend. 

Now I'm making it back to bumpity bump.

Saturday:

Did 5 loads of laundry.  Went to the mall with hubby and baby.  Wore our 25 pound baby in the carrier the whole time and didn't complain about how heavy he is.  (He's really getting too big for a front carry, even though we both love it.)

Took a really nice bath, I almost never do that.

Oh I really rocked yesterday.  I drank a half a glass of water sip by painful sip and I let DS watch the Polar Express like three times. Then DS split his lip open and I almost passed out because of my empty stomach and the sight of blood.  Thank God my H was there to take care of him.  And thank God it looked worse than it really was.
