Unknown status after u/s

Hi everyone! This is the first time I've posted on this board but I've been watching the discussions and truly love all the advice you give. This is my third pregnancy. I miscarried my first then got pregnant with my daughter a few months after (sorry for my long beginning just wanted to share a little info about me ).

I went for my u/s Wednesday and according to dates I was 6wks 6 days so we should've seen something on the screen. My doc got crazy quiet and said he was trying to find the baby. He then said there was a sack and a small ring in it. He said my dates could be off so he sent me for more blood work and I have to go for another scan next week to see if there was any change. I don't want false hope and I don't want to not think positive but I just can't stop crying. Thoughts and prayers are much appreciated and I'll update either way. Thank you all for listening.

I'm so sorry that you're in limbo right now! FX that you ovulated late and there's still a chance of this having a happy ending.

Sorry you're going through this, I know the waiting is MISERABLE. I went through the same exact thing. I went in for my confirmation appointment and based on my LMP, my doctor said, "Let's go do an ultrasound and we may see a heartbeat!" According to my LMP I should have been around 6 or 7 weeks. I got my hopes up big time, to see an EMPTY gestational sac. No ring or anything. Turned out, I just ovulated late. So, my dates were off by 10 days. I just got to see my little gummy bear this week and Baby B waved at me.  

Try not to stress, take a deep breath, and I hope your follow up goes fantastically!

I'm in the same boat as you! No idea how far along I am as lmp was August and first scan measured 6wk 5days but only showed a yolk sac, I have another us on Monday, have still been throwing up and my hcg was high so hopefully it's ok!

T&P's that everything is okay and your dates are just off a bit.  This happened to me during my first ultrasound, there were two little sacs with two little cheerios measuring 5 weeks and a few days - turns out I was way off on my dates and everything is fine.  Good vibes to you for the same outcome.

Thank you all! Your words are definitely uplifting and providing me comfort. My next scan is Wednesday and I'll make sure to update you all as soon as I can.

@dairymom‌ I'm praying and crossing my fingers for you for a good scan. Please update if you can. I still have symptoms as well and my previous bloodwork showed high levels so hopefully this last bloodwork shows the same.

From comments and previous posts this is pretty common to be off on the date. The same thing happened to me and I was off by two weeks. All they could see was a sac and I had to wait three weeks for another ultrasound. It can vary so widely based on when you ovulated. Prayers for you that you see growth on your next ultrasound and LO is just littler and younger than anticipated.
