BPF: Baby Boots Birthday Bash

Say that 10 times fast! And a bonus pick of bath time.

I didn't get many good pictures of him, this one he was getting fussy after eating his cake but mostly he was pretty happy during the party, walking around interacting with everyone. He had a good time I think! A dear, dear friend helped me with the food and the cake came from a local bakery. Everything was yellow/blue themed including the egg salad sandwiches, lemon curd tarts with blueberries and blue and yellow popcorn. 

And no surprise, but the last few days he was been saying 'duck' (which sometimes comes out sounding like 'guk) but I guess that's officially his first word.

    He is so big and so handsome! How has the time gone by so fast. And are the lemon curd tarts homemade? If so, recipe share please!

    @sweetsouthernmomma08 there are requests for you lemon curd tart recipe, can you share? It was really good. Mr. Boots ate about 17 of them.

    But, the difference is cooking method.  You should cook over a double boiler.  It will make it much easier to protect the curd from scalding to the bottom of the pan.  Use a whisk and constantly whisk whisk whisk.  it will get super thick and that's when it is done.  :)

    Thank you dear! We put the cooled curd in pre-made pastry shells (individual size) then topped with whipped cream and a few fresh blueberries.
