  • Doctors info very basic and seems to be a huge grey area .... Google says it common but why isn't it more discussed and awareness of it higher . Results of bloods and amniocentesis due back Thursday. Fingers crossed x
  • Super common to have CMV in childhood. First time infection in pregnancy can be concerning. Unsure if you'll be able to find out much until birth. They thought my now almost 12 yr old may have aquired cytomegalovirus in utero as she is deaf and has other issues.

  • I agree with @GrailSeeker14‌. I've found myself spending less time on here because i'm not a doctor or search engine, and don't feel like being treated as such.

  • CMV can cause many different issues during pregnancy IF you've never had prior exposure, unfortunately the scope of these issues will not be know until after delivery and possibly for years to come as your child develops. Please discuss this further with your doctor & your future child's pediatrician.
  • Hi my name is jamie and was simple wondering if anyone knew of anyone who had experienced anything like this as I live in a small village and my gp has never seen this before.... I didn't realise that asking for some advise would be an opener to rude insults

We want you to ask your doctor because your doctor can give you the most accurate information. If your doctor never has seen this before they should be referring you to another doctor for a 2nd opinion. These ladies are not your doctor. If we have questions we ask our own doctors.
