First ultrasound and confused!

We had our first ultrasound yesterday. I was only 5 weeks and 3 days. I'm seeing a fertility specialist so they wanted to see me early. However, their monitor must be from 1980 because the images were not very clear. I've had 2 other ultrasounds done at 5-6 weeks and have always clearly seen the sac, fetal pole and HB (closer to 6 weeks). Yesterday, they saw one good sac with fetal pole. However, they might have seen 2 more sacs! She isn't sure because I was so early and the screen was blurry. She thinks it's probable that another sac is there and the 3rd sac might just be fluid filled or a clot. She also told me if I start bleeding bright red to not panic (RIGHT).

We were hoping for at least a number, BUT I'm super happy That she saw at least ONE good fetal pole! We never make it past 6 weeks so our appointment next week will be a huge deal for us!

I should probably add that we triggered 3 follicles.

I'm glad you saw a fetal pole! I was under the care of a RE last pregnancy and while the frequent ultrasounds are nice they can also be confusing and anxiety-inducing.  That is exciting that you have the potential for twins or maybe even triplets.

I hope you get very good news at next week's ultrasound!

Thanks everyone! I just hope if that other sac is fluid filled or a blood clot, that it won't affect the developing baby.

@Katiemjung‌ Yes, it was. Their machine is just awful. We've always had clear images by 5 weeks. I know that's still early, but my OBGYN has great machinery.

Don't panic. Ha biggest joke. I get a twinge and I panic. Lol bright red blood. I'm curled up crying for hrs.
