Well, it's official. I have a "severe" cold and gave it to Emily. Luckily it hasn't moved to her chest and the pediatrician thinks it would have by now if it was going to. He said that there isn't much I can do but let it run its course and keep an eye on her. So basically, stay awake and worry until it's over with. He gave me a list of signs to watch for and instructed me to call immediately if she won't eat, is inconsolable, or if her lips aren't red. She sounds so terrible. It just breaks my heart!

We are still in newborn clothes, but I think we will be moving to 0-3 month in the next few days. I restocked the diaper bag with 0-3 month clothes.

I have been having a lot of issues with pooping since having the boys. I didn't have any issues with DD so I figured I would be better at 5 weeks, but I'm still struggling. I want to try stool softeners, but wasn't sure what I can take while bf.

I wear a nursing bra overtop of the pumping bra daily.

Colace and miralax were recommended to me by the nurse yesterday when we were leaving. I had been taking the colace the whole time I was in the hospital (since Tuesday) and took the first dose of miralax last night, and I had a bowl movement this morning around 6!

(I am also BF).

In addition to colace and Miralax, my OB recommended getting Benefiber or Metamusal and taking it once a day. I also use fiber gummies once a day.

DD finally pooped and she timed this explosion to happen as I was getting ready to bathe her.  I thanked her for timing it so well, finished as the water was at proper temperature.  Now she's clean and I'm no longer concerned about which outfit I dress her in.

Beckham just had his 1 month appointment! He weighs 10 pounds and 8 oz. and is 22.5 inches long! He got his second HB shot and screamed so badly:( Ped recommended an ortho. For becks foot. Now we are off to Parkers parents for a week. His dad is home from Afghanistan!

I totally just answered my door while breastfeeding and the lady who was knocking was at the wrong apartment complex. She got super awkward and embarrassed. The worst part about the whole thing I'm so used to the baby being on the boob all.the.time. I didn't even realize I did it until afterwards.

My mom and brother came over to visit (my brother is 11) and LO got fussy and mom handed him to me and I just popped it out there without thinking lol she was like oh! And threw a blanket over me. Whoops

Last night was rough with LO not wanting to sleep with me only getting 3 hours total sleep. Today wasn't much better with LO feeding almost every hour with little time for naps. Then DH came home from work exhausted and not feeling well...so I know he won't be helping tonight...bracing myself for another bad night:(

DH decided it was time to break DD1 of her binkies at night. Guess who is dealing with it while he is at drill? And he gave into her last night. Thanks!

@flutterbuggie‌ I have a 18 month old I have to chase around. I have definitely figured out how to walk around and do other things while she's feeding.
@chesneybrynn‌ I have 3 brothers. They were all completely weirded out that I was breastfeeding at thanksgiving. When I was bfing d's I would go I'm there other room. I blame being secluded why I only bfed for a short time.

@OLJ1010‌ I broke down at 4.5 weeks and took an Epsom salt bath. I too was told not to but between the muscle aches and tension from being stressed and all the unpleasantness down there I couldn't help it. It was soooo worth breaking the rules. Haven't noticed any repercussions (will be 6wks pp tomorrow).

Love this! Last year I did the same thing and my word was empowerment. It meant so much to sort of take back my life from depression and to feel empowered.

Little Gio has been awake for almost 3 hours. He has only done this in the middle of the night so far....never during the day. I hope this is a good sign that he is figuring out days vs nights! [-O<

Yes! He usually does this when he is about to poop, which usually happens when he's eating.
