I remember seeing this mentioned here before but nothing comes up when I do a search Anyway, I've posted a few times about tongue tie revisions and just wanted to see who, of those who had LO's tongue/lip ties revised, tried CST. We had LO's upper lip tie and submucousol (sp?) posterior tongue tie releases by laser 9 days ago. I haven't seen much of a difference in nursing...she's still falling asleep after a few minutes and have to do serious breast compressions to get her to do some consecutive swallows...I've been doing her stretching exercises and trying to get in the suck training (when she'll let me) but no real difference yet. So, I took her to a Chiro today who specializes in pediatric Chiro and performed CST on her. To be honest,It all seemed 'new age' to me. I'm on the tongue tie support group on Facebook and so many rave about the benefits of CST after tongue tie release procedures (and a few thought it was a waist) If any here have gone, what's your perception of it? Did it work for you? I'm trying to figure out whether or not we should go back. Don't have the money to waste...thanks! P.s. Did they hold your baby upside down by the feet?? Freaked me out! Lol

I was the one who had mentioned that the LC recommended it for LO. My pediatrician is actually a D.O. and said that although she studied this she said the science is just not behind it so she doesn't believe in it and did not recommend it. We are having a lot of latching issues too. My pedi offered to help me more with latching. I decided though to transition to pumping with formula supplement (I don't seem to pump enough to meet demand and have decided to not do MOTN pumps).

Thanks! @keelyd how many actual sessions of CST did you do? Also, seems like we're doing the same routine...BFing, pumping, supplementing,...how are you keeping your sanity? I feel like I can't leave the house.
