Just recently DD crib was discontinued. It was the Graco Lauren in Walnut. Only the walnut color was discontinued. With having boy/girl twins, would it be weird to get a different color like white for the other? I'd rather not buy two new cribs and don't have the patience to sand and paint the walnut colored one. What says you M15?
If it's any extra help...I'm not going overly crazy with a theme but maybe a somewhat safari so it can work for both sexes. There is more oak wood furniture in the room, the walls will be grey, a grey love seat and different colors for each bedding.
Re: Nursery: Weird or no?
It says it's out of stock for me but says ships 12/9 like the other colors.
While this is something I would categorize as a first world problem and really in the grand scheme isn't a big deal. But, with that said it would bug me too

Guess it depends on the look you are going for. If it is a straight out of Décor and Style magazine than it would probably be a no go. I'm an interior designer and my first thought was all about how you would be dressing the cribs to fit the theme. I feel like you could do different mobiles that coordinated the two together, or maybe a netting that was a little more rustic on the white one. There are so many options. What other types of décor are you using? Maybe mix things up with a walnut bookcase on the white crib side and a white bookcase on the walnut side, or something of that nature so it looks planned?
Again, by the time the babies are in there, you have had little sleep and you have mountains of laundry to catch up on all over the floor, it probably won't really matter!

Personally I'd add pieces above or around the crib that matches the opposite crib to bring all the mismatches together. It could really turn out to be a cute nursery.
I fully get the whole retail balance merchandise thing, and how you see things differently and like everything to match/resemble each other, but I still think it could work. I saw the below picture on Pinterest. Maybe it could help?
They don't exactly match but still compliment each other.

@JerseyAKL As much as I would like to go overboard with coordinating paint, I'm not in conservation mode of personalizing too much so that we have less work to do in about 2-3 years when we put it on the market!
The room itself is kind of weird because it is actually our bonus room since we were running out of space. So the windows are a little awkward and not like a typical bedroom window. It's also a much longer room than it is depth wise but the window placement doesn't make for a pretty traditional setup.
The plan right now is to put the cribs together like this:
And make the window treatments like this with bows that match the side of the room:
