I have a non-childcare related housekeeping questions and you all seem smart about that stuff. Can we make a thread for these kinds of things?

Here's my question:

My dining room chairs scratch on the hardwood floor. I have purchased those felt coaster things from Home Depot and replaced them every 4 months or so, but they wear out quickly. I swear I don't weight 300 pounds and sit in that chair for hours a day. Any ideas about a more durable chair coaster option?

I put my dining room table and chairs on a rug. That's all I've got, lol.

Buy rubber chair leg tips and nail them in. They won't wear out. They are little rubber nub things that you will barely see.

We bought plastic covers from Walmart that nailed in to the bottom of the legs. We have had them for 5 years.

You could get a cheap rug and cut out circles and then glue them to the bottom of the chair legs? I feel like that might last longer?
