Just needing to vent a bit... We have 2 boys and they have both been battling seperate issues for months now. DS #2 is EBF and now 6 months old. It was suspected by myself and then our family doctor, that he is an MSPI baby. So I have been off all dairy, soy and egg for awhile now. But to get into an allergist here is hard. (We live in Canada)The wait time ranges from 3 months to a year. We were even referred to an allergist in a different province to see if the wait time would be less. But in an absolute answer to prayer, I received a phone call yesterday from the local allergist saying that he had a cancellation for today and was hoping we could come in! And what an appnt it was!!! We were there from 10:45am till 1:30pm and it was non-stop. He asked questions for over an hour straight. It was wonderful. I am a medic so I knew that every question he was asking was for a reason. Then, he did a full physical exam, and then a skin test! Confirmed MSPI, plus possible allergies to sesame, cat, dust mites, and wheat. Wow. That is alot to handle. Plus, he isn't tolerating rice cereal from the store so I will be making my own. That is ok though, I always made DS #1 baby food. I have 2 pages of blood work that needs to be completed ASAP, and multiple stool samples. Not to mention, the 2 new prescriptions on top of what he already takes for acid reflux. Meanwhile, DS#1 was in for bloodwork yesterday and I am doing multiple stool samples on him also, for completely different reasons! Needless to say, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with all of this. I am a very strong woman and so I know I will be ok. I just feel like I am going to forget something important! When it rains, it pours...
