4th ivf and seeking a little advice. loss mentioned.

Hi ladies. Brief history: ivf #1 no frozen 2012 resulted in dd who just turned 2. Ivf#2 in January 2014 no frozen resulted in mc. Ivf #3 November 2014 BFN and no frozen. My AMH is .87 at last check. Anywho..we only have one clinic in our state and the success rates for my age (36) are 29%. I'm thinking of traveling to the Dallas or Frisco area since it wouldn't be a terrible drive. Anyone used a clinic in this area. I had a lady recommend Dallas IVF located in Frisco Dr. Ku. Any advice appreciated.

I'm not familiar with those areas, sorry.  Are you unhappy with your current RE and that's why you want to switch? And your estimate that IVF success rate is about 30% is dead on for pretty much anybody. Any clinic that tells you your chances are higher than that is lying.

Yes ^^^ That is the legitimate worldwide success rate for IVF, so I would highly recommend you not switching clinics JUST based off this, because believe me when I tell you- if you go to a clinic that claims they have a 75% success rate and you end up with a BFN, you will want to slit your effing wrists. I hate when clinics do this.

Thanks ladies. I was going by the sart results that are nationally posted by each clinic per yr. Should I ignore those stats? My clinic for my age (36) says 29%. The clinics in TX are ranging from 40-48% depending on the clinic.

I will also say...I'm in Arkansas and we only have one clinic in the entire state.

I'm sorry hun, I don't want to sway you one way or another because it seems like a huge inconvenience to cycle in another state for something I have so little faith in. I've had 3 failed cycles myself and I live in a tiny state but the next in network clinic for us is about an hour away and monitoring with a 2hr commute just seemed unreasonable, so we've yet to switch clinics, but we may be reconsidering that in the near future. 

Personally I don't think I could ever bring myself to cycle in another state, I think I'd probably consider trying DE before I put myself through the hassle of cycling in another state- BUT if you feel in your gut this might be what it takes to get it to work, then I would say go with your gut 100%!
