so we really need more prayers. She went south and had two more surgeries. She's in ICU and they put her in a coma. She has a permanent colostomy. Hopefully in a few days she will wake up and she will be fine

My husband took some paid personal time but if miss more time off this pay period were going to f*cked so I can't call out again and it's killing me to have to leave. MIL is willing to travel back here to be with DD so Nick can rest and I can sit out here. DDs acting out and I think it's because I'm only there at bed time lately. I feel so guilty about that.

Her BP has stabilized but as of last night she is septic.

@huckleberry08‌ I got more test than I thought I would. Now I'm alert tonight because she's having a blood transfusion and if her hemoglobin levels don't improve she has to go in the OR a 4th time to check for internal bleeding. Her nurse will call me about 3 am with an update

It must have gone well because I didn't get the call that she was going back into the OR. I have to wait until nap time to go see her and get updates

Oh I'm so sorry.  Huge hugs and all my thoughts are with you and your family.  I agree not to worry or feel guilty about DD.  There are times in life where some have to sacrifice for the good of others in the family.  This is her time and your time and it won't be a blip on her radar.  Don't forget to take care of YOU.  You count too.  I'm hoping for a good update from you soon.  Hugs.

Thanks. So she was breathing on her own but it wore her out so much they put her back on the machine. Her BP has been good. Her hearts taking a pounding from the sepsis and now the big concern is flud retention. If she doesn't start passing more fluid faster she will need dialysis. There is no reason to believe she won't make a full recovery but man I hope she is home by Christmas.

So we need to be gowned and masked to go into her room now

The infection has mutated and is now a different strain so they are trying a new antibiotic.

She has a few more days on the vent and if she can't handle breathing on her own she will need to be trached.

Over all she is improving but its a lot of set backs. Thanks for the continued thoughts and prayers.
