I had my weekly OB appt scheduled for this morning, and DS set up with my friend for the appt.  The appt got cancelled because my OB is stuck in surgery.  I get that.  They offered me a 2:30 this afternoon, but I have no one to watch DS now.  I've taken him with me a couple of times, and he screams like a hellion any time the doctor gets within two feet of me.  It's awful. 

Would you just take him?  Or reschedule?  I feel fine, no concerns or anything I really need to talk about.  I won't even be seeing my OB; it's with another doctor in the office.  I'm wondering how bad it is to just see if I can get in tomorrow or Friday....

I skipped one for similar reasons last winter when I was pregnant w #2. I did go by the drugstore that day and check my blood pressure just in case. I had no reason to worry about blood pressure - no previous issues - but I figured better safe than sorry.

We don't know anyone so I always take DS and DD to my appointments. It's not easy but we get by.

I'd probably just go next week.  Maybe stop by the drugstore and just do a quick blood pressure check.  I feel you though with the kid, I wouldn't take mine to a doctor appointment.

Thanks, y'all.  I'm going to keep it...friend might be able to cover for me after all.  If not...well, he'll just have to scream.

@pinesnow I've tried all of his favorite things and comfort items - books, his toy phone, my phone, my tablet, snacks, milk in a bottle (which is the ultimate calm-down mechanism for him) - nothing works.  He doesn't want the strange lady touching me.  :-/

I always took dd, she screamed, but the nurse/ my ob would just talk and play with her.
