Possible BFP warning










I'm posting this so early because I can't sleep since I'm freaking out a bit.
I am not going to follow the format today.
If you remember I had a trigger shot this month (which is HCG) so I knew I would have a false positive early on.  I have been trying to test out the trigger but I never got a real negative.  Well today is 13 days post trigger and I think the lines are getting darker.  I am excited but nervous. We all know how it can be taken away at any time. I am supposed to test on Saturday but I think I will call the RE and ask if they can do a beta on Friday if I am still getting good lines.  Hopefully I will post a separate post on Friday.

5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) DH is into more well timed BD this month, so hopefully our timing will be better!

QOTW: What is something fun you want for Christmas? A sticky baby, ha! Other than that, nothing really...got married this year so have been spoiled all year. (That said, if we got a surprise $ infusion for some reason, we want to get a new king sized bed!)

4. 11dpo, A little bit of cramping and breast tenderness/flaming nipples but unfortunately for me that is a typical pre flow symptom.  I'm not planning to test, I have none in the house and hope to have a busy weekend and (haha) forget about it

I'm trying to convince myself it is possible while also protecting my emotional state.  I am not planning on temping/charting during the next cycle if we aren't successful.  Then, dh and I will decide in the new year what our plan is if any.  Really, I'm sure I'll be around bc when you focus on something for so long it is very difficult to just let it go overnight (ok over a few weeks), but I'm trying to prepare myself for this to be the end of actively ttc.  Meaning charting and sort of plan on moving to ntnp which really for an over 40 yr old means nt...

We met with the RE last week and he decided we are going to start with a natural cycle IUI this month

How do you feel about this cycle? anxious. 5th cycle of trying and i'm starting to get worried. i know that is crazy, especially with some of you ladies (and others I know) that have been trying for longer. i'm definitely calling my OB for the "6 month" appointment so I can get it in January right away since she books up quick. DH is being really positive about this month though and seems to be finally taking all of this seriously. We talked about maybe skipping this month to just enjoy the holidays and not worry about drinking/caffeine and testing but DH wanted to try and if my cycle stays similar to this last month I will know either way before NYE so I can at least enjoy some bubbly that night if we don't have any luck.

We don't really do christmas presents - usually we take a trip and call that our joint gifts. I'm hoping we figure out a way to go somewhere warm this month or january but we already did Hawaii (as a delayed honeymoon) this year so I'm not sure that will work out.

Of course a BFP. I would be due for AF around the 20-23.  It would also give me a due date of the end of August.  Due to me never going to due date, I would go in the middle of August.  Both So and I are Leos and we both secretly want a Leo baby.  

We are adding a new addition anyways to the family.  Nixie Rhea, a Yorkshire terrier, will be 8 weeks old on XMas Eve and ready to come home!!

Day 6 of stims, retrieval probably next week.  My follicles are still little, but there are lots of them and my estrogen looks good.

Trying not to think about it too much.  The stakes are a lot higher now, obviously.

3. What are you doing this cycle? Natural... charting with Kindara/temping/Circle Bloom meditations, Arvigo maya abdominal massage, minimal caffeine (though I cheated and had coffee today - late night and long day/night of work ahead)

5. How do you feel about this cycle? Pretty relaxed.  Very hopeful.  Just started BDing b/c usual O around day 18. Had a forced quickie this morning - so unromantic... I wasn't even horny LOL but thank god for preseed and my DH can perform in under 5 minutes if necessary !! 

By the way I emailed with an aquaintaince of mine today who I really like... she is pregnant and I congratulated her (she was one of the FB posts that I never responded to months ago) and I told her I was trying today.  I kinda like what she wrote.  I saw my therapist this week and she made me relax further.  I'm not going to get into it but I do feel good.  Especially since my RE plan is now pushed back 2 more months to initial consult with RE#2 in early Feb.  (My original RE left the other practice so I'm going next week to get my records and say buh bye to their replacement RE who I don't trust... haven't met him but my friend saw him and didn't like him).  

Anyway, this was her advice.  I do feel close to what she describes so I hope it's true!!

"Dont stress about getting pregnant. This is my take on it (it is just my opinion, of course, but in case you want to hear):

"Dont try to get pregnant because YOU want to. It is not about you or Jeff. It is not about your needs or desires. It is not because YOU want to you will get pregnant.

It is about knowing in your heart that you are ready for a family, knowing that the time is right for taking care of someone, believing that you have so much to give and you can grow a family. This thought will bring you peace and will allow someone to come into your life. You will get pregnant the week you feel the most empowered and happy....as you said "in good time""

Oh well obviously a BFP........ the way my timing is, I'll be finding out just before....

I think we're going to my aunt's family this year instead of my stepmom because my stepsis moved out to LA.  I would love for Christmas to just have a lot of time off I guess.  A BFP would be the best!

1. Austrogermokee of Bawlmore, MD. 2. TTC #1 since Sept 2013. 3. Letrozole 7.5 on CD 2-6. Resuming acupuncture this week. 4. CD3. Sigh. 5. I had a really, really hard time when AF showed up. I think because of the surgery and the higher dose of drugs, I'd gotten my hopes up too much and I just crashed when it didn't happen. I wound up sobbing under the covers for hours. Poor DH is probably ready to send me off to the booby hatch. I think IF coupled with being unemployed has really done a number on my self esteem. So this cycle I'm going to try and relax and enjoy the holidays, and put the other stuff out of my mind as much as I can. QOTW: Aside from a BFP and a job, I'd like new champagne flutes. It's hard to be fancy with mismatched flutes from Ikea, and I love being fancy.

I am REALLY REALLY anxious about the future of all this. H would never agree to IVF or any medical intervention so if my eggs are ancient and dusty and no good I will be heartbroken.

Well what i wanted and what I'm likely getting is going to getting will be a punch in the gut if i get it (H probably ordered it before loss) I asked for the crazy expensive Newborn posing bean bag and a few other things since i do Newborn Photography and in anticipation of our own.....i really wanted it. Honestly though....its still something I want and need though. So i will be happy to get it and i love my job and its a tool of the trade. A new lens was way too expensive this year for us.

@radiantly Leos are fabulous people, if I do say so myself.  It looks like we are cycle buddies this month!  

@austrogermokee Unemployment is a killer.  I was laid off from my last job October of last year.  It was right before my divorce was finalized and my ex had already left the country.  I had to uproot us and moved us 5 states away to stay with family.  It took 6 months to find a job and tried hard to not let it hit me.  I was in a new area.  My skill set is unique and not in need where I live now.  But in the end, it was well worth the struggles.  So much good has come to my life, including my SO.  What industry do you work in?  I do work for a staffing company  (but I support their government contractor subsidiary company). Put in at least 10 resumes a day.  Have a professional look at your resume and boost it up. I ended up using recruiters to give me feed back on my resume to help improve it.  It is all a numbers game and job hunting is seriously a full time job.  Keep the faith as you move through the holiday season. This can be a gold mine for a job or most companies are slow because of vacation/holidays and waiting for the New Year/New Budget to start for hiring.

Femara CD 3-7, Acupuncture, Trigger, TI, Progesterone.

CD 11, ultrasound tomorrow and will probably trigger tomorrow night.

Hopeful.  After last cycle with only one mature follicle at trigger, I had a heart to heart with the NP about wanting more mature follicles at trigger due to my advanced years.  We were going to add injects this cycle, but I actually had 16.5mm, 15mm, and 14.5mm follicles yesterday and she didn't feel we needed any more stimulation.  Her experience is that if they're over 14mm, they will continue to grow, so she expects I'll have 2-3 mature tomorrow.  YAY!  I'll take all the help I can get.  I've been cramping like crazy so I think things are growing in there!

My anxiety has been getting worse this week.  I'm so worried my hubby will have performance anxiety again and this cycle will be a bust.  EVERYONE I know is getting pregnant (my BFF just reported she's 7.5 weeks and it was an oopsie - married but not planning to try for #2 till Spring or later), and I'm having a serious case of the "why not mes." Ugh.  I had acupuncture today and I'm hoping it will help with the anxiety.  

QOTW: What is something fun you want for Christmas?

I'm un-original.  I really want a BFP for my birthday (10 days before Christmas) and if I get that, I don't need anything else.  (I'll only be 9dpo on my actual birthday, so I probably wouldn't even get a positive, but I'm probably going to test anyway!).  I do want a tea infuser.  I got this really yummy loose tea a few weeks ago and the bags we got to brew it are a pain - water wicks up them and out of the cup.  Any recommendations?

I'm on the "placebo" week in my BCP.  I also think being on the pills has caused me to gain 5 pounds (surely it was not the Thanksgiving holiday and vacation....)

Will test on the day my period is due (if it doesn't show) which is also my birthday. So birthday will either be super awesome or just averagely awesome.

5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) Not super hopeful in light of all that has happened, and because DH got sick, so we had sex just before ovulation, which could still work, but wasn't optimal timing. Am just kind of happy that we're back in it.

QOTW: What is something fun you want for Christmas? I wouldn't all it fun, but I would love a night to myself in a hotel to read books, and have a good nights sleep.

5. A day before my RE appointment in early November, DH told me that he is not sure that he wants to continue TTC. We haven't had a talk yet, but it will probably happen this weekend. I have been quiet on the board because my parents have been here and I've had so much work. Also, DH's announcement took some air out of my sails. I don't want to be too engaged with TTC in case he is serious about stopping. Honestly, I am a little concerned that his disposition is not cut out for two children, but we'll see in our conversation, I guess.

QOTW: For Christmas, I would like a massage certificate and a BFP.

#3 for my #1 for him. TTC since Nov of 2013 but took about a 9 month break to get married

Yes. LOL.  It's been a crazy cycle (I did a full post on it) CD70 today.  CD 1-28 was normal.  Then temping, OPK, Provera.  See my endocrinologist Monday and we go from there.

No idea where I am.  Positive OPK would indicate 2WW but temps do not indicate O but Hoshimoto's could be making temps null and void so who knows.  Thank goodness for lots of other distractions.

All over the map.  Sometimes hopeful, then guy punch to reality, then someone says something dumb and I'm in tears, then someone says something positive and false hope creeps back in.  Not being too extreme on any of those though.  I"m pretty analytical so using that as a coping mechanism.  As long as there is more for me to analyze and more to research I think I'll make it to monday. LOL
QOTW: What is something fun you want for Christmas? I want a BFP for myself and all fo you like everyone else and I'd even settle for a regular cycle... but if I had to pick something else that was just for me... I think I'd go on an awesome trip or just have another amazingly romantic evening with DH like last year (that's when he proposed).  I'm looking forward to Christmas. 

Big shouts out to all of you! With all the craziness going on in my life I'm living vicariously through all of you.  Each time I see a BFP, a PUPO, or even hope for someone who's been supportive and posts regularly I get excited.  Yeah, I wish it could be me but  seeing such deserving ladies having their dreams come true (sometimes against amazing odds and after miserable losses) gives me hope! Thank you all for sharing your stories.

Thanks everyone.  I called the RE and I'm going for a beta at 1.  I'm not sure if I will get the results today or tomorrow but I will make a separate post when I get it.

Meh. I was pretty hopeful last time just because I thought we had good timing and the such. It still ended in AF showing up so I don't know what else I can do.

besides the obvious? If the length of my cycles stay about the same, AF would show up right before Christmas...so yah. Other than that, DH and I don't exchange presents so there really isn't anything that I "want". Although I suppose a random sock filled with money might be nice...

Has an HSG done yesterday ... Holy shit that hurt! BUT my tubes are wide open! My temping has been really off this week as I am waking up at weird hours and tossing and turning and I didn't temp over Thanksgiving. I have acupuncture tomorrow. Waiting for test results from AMA, FSH, estradiol, LH and InhB. Hubby dropped off his swimmers this morning so hoping we get those results soon!

just had a biopsy for a uterine polyp then my RE did a treatment attempting to increase stem cells for implantation.
Also pre-natals, Vitamin D, Ubiquinol, no coffee and my first ever acupuncture appointment is Saturday

On the BCP bench waiting on ins approval for IVF #3

5. How do you feel about this cycle? DH is far more optimistic than I am at this point, I'm just guarded right now.

4. CD9. Had EWCM today so going to BD tonight and tomorrow just in case (sorry TMI) 

5. Trying not to get my hope up too much. Not really wanting anything for x-mas this year (except for a BFP of course) so I think DH and I are just going to buy a new laptop and call it a day.

@wannabmama23: Thanks for the sweet comment. It really brightened my day. 

I'm also hoping that our decision doesn't have to be a "yours" or "mine" thing. I've stopped discussing TTC for a few weeks, so that should help. Please keep your fingers crossed!

Sorry to have been such a stranger, ladies. Things have been crazy between being sick and then traveling cross country for Thanksgiving. I've been keeping tabs, though.

I am betch78 from Virginia.

This is our second cycle trying for baby #2. (It's the never ending cycle thanks to that crazy flu or whatever I had)

I am doing the same routine.... FF, temping, OPKs, preseed, supplements, eliminating caffeine and limiting alcohol (Gosh, that's hard this time of year!)

I am 10 DPO. Oh, the 2WW.... Our timing wasn't ideal this month with our Thanksgiving travels. Still, we did the BD at in-laws more than I would have expected. Ha! I have been having some pinching in my lower abdomen. Not sure if it's a premenstrual thing, if it's all in my head, or (and of course this is what I'm hoping) it's implantation. Time will tell! My temp was 98.7 this morning which is high for me.

I am probably more hopeful than I should be this cycle.

For Christmas, I got myself a new heavy winter coat. I got my last one when I was 19! It lasted over a decade of Chicago winters. And the zipper has been broken for a few years. So, I think it's time. Of course, I am also hoping that AF is the one relative that does NOT show up this holiday season! That would be the best gift of all.

@tlc35 - I am saying sticky baby prayers for you! Please keep us posted!

update - my temp dropped again today (I was thinking it jumped yesterday. well, it did, but guess it was due to a change of time of my medication...

so I had EW CM today and we DTD.     So far our track record this cycle is really good.  FX I O soon it is day 17 now.

3. Seeing RE since March, just changed REs closer to home this month. Benched this month for holidays (the clinic closes) so not doing anything but TTC naturally until Jan. when we'll be back to Letrozole/Trigger/Progesterone and IUI.
4. CD4, planning the BD for CD 8 to 14 since I usually ovulate around day 10-12.
5. Feeling hopeful that something will happen, but anxious about missing treatment this month after we were benched from medication and IUI for the last month due to cysts.

QOTW: All I want for Christmas is a BFP but we moved into our first house in September, so I asked for some power tools so I can build a tiered garden bed in the back yard in spring!

I haven't been around for very long, but feel such joy for @tlc35 and my heart really goes out to @KirstenAlecia, @CML11 and anyone having difficulty or struggling emotionally. I hope the new year brings everyone here peace and a pile of BFPs!
