Re: noise

  • How old is your LO and is it with every feed?I don't mean to be Captain Obvious, but have you tried to suction his nose with the bulb syringe before feeding?

  • DS did this for the first 8w. When I told our pedi, she said it was him learning to close his airway to swallow. Sometimes he choked and coughed so she was very careful to listen to his lungs to make sure he wasn't aspirating. It stopped pretty much around the time my oversupply resolved. I would mention it to your pediatrician, but mine wasn't overly concerned.
  • He is 3 Weeks old. It is not consistent, so I am not sure if it is a latch issue or just a normal sound babies make. I don't notice the noises during other times.

  • I think if it's a latch issue you'd likely have pain too? Has the noise happened with different hold positions?
