Bloated and hungry? What is one to do?

I made the mistake of indulging a taco craving earlier this evening. Now I am amazingly bloated to the point of it being painful. But at the same time, I am starving! I was really hungry when I went to get tacos and I only ate one before I started feeling gross, and that was several hours ago... Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions on what to eat that won't further aggravate the bloat?

  • Water typically makes me super nauseated so I've been putting off drinking a glass while I'm bloated. I also have slight heartburn right now and bloat + heartburn + nausea just sounds like more than I can take! But if you guys think it might help... I'm going to go for it. Cheers! (Fingers crossed!)
  • If you are nauseated by water I'd suggest asking your doctor for a prescription for Zofran. It's really important to stay hydrated during pregnancy. I would do whatever was necessary to get more water into my body.
  • Well, water worked! The bloating subsided--still there, but it wasn't nearly as painful. I was able to eat something and get some sleep. That's a win as far as I'm concerned!
  • This happens to me when I indulge my McDonald's craving - water, ginger ale, lemon water and then I eat fruit and cheese or yogurt if still hungry. That seems to improve the situation.
