Hi All - 

New to posting but felt like I need support someplace.. A little about our situation, I'm 38 and DH is 37, been married for 11 months and TTC for 10 months.. I'm type 2 diabetic and have my sugars way under control so OB gave me the green light to TTC.  Went through all the testing and found my DH has low motility. Met with an RE and starting natural cycles of IUI this month.  Very nervous but excited and unsure what to expect.  

Also dealing with a very negative MIL who is basically blaming my health issues on her son not being able to have a child which makes it all the more stressful!

    Does she know he has low motility?  That would be frustrating for me if MIL was blaming me and I knew he was part of the problem too and had to bite my tongue!  Welcome to the board.  I hope IUI is successful for you!

    She's a very negative person to begin with and doesn't treat my DH to well so we decided not to tell her about the low motility. We basically aren't even telling her we are going to have the IUI done. Less is more with her.

    Ughhhhh rotten MIL sounds like a pain. I agree dont tell her more than she needs to know. Good luck with the IUI and I hope your stay here is short!

    July 2014: IUI #1.  Follistim + Pregnyl.  2 follicles--BFN
    September 2014: IUI #2.  Follistim + Pregnyl + Ganirelix + Crinone.  4(?) follicles--BFN
    October 2014: IUI #3.  More Follistim + More Ganirelix + Pregnyl + Crinone.  4 follicles--BFP!  Beta #1=10 Beta #2=33 Beta #3=97 Beta #4=158.  M/C 11/1/14
    December 2014: IVF #1.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  9R, 9M, 9F.  3 5-day blasts transferred 12/15. BFFN.
    April 2015: IVF #2.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  16R, 15M, 12F. Transferred 2 5-day blasts 4/12 and froze 4--BFP!  M/C 5/25/15
    August 2015: IVF #3.  14R, 13M, 11F.  Froze 5 blasts for CCS testing.  3 normals.  FET planned for 10/2015.

    sorry about the MIL. It's always tricky telling the man's side of the story (sperm issues). I find I have to tread lightly about that one. Mine has low morphology (good numbers otherwise) and I can tell it's a sore subject. He'd rather just blame my age (42) lol. Good luck!
    Me 42, DH 33, TTC for about a year naturally (but no protection for 4 yrs). Together 6 yrs, married June 2014.
    CD 3, FSH of 15, E2 67, AMH 0.43, LH 6.2, normal HSG test
    DH good count but low volume, 87% motility, 1% morphology
    IUI#1 - Nov 2014, 100 mg clomid and HCG, 2 large follies 20 & 16mm (7 follies total). BFN
    IVF# 1 Jan 2014, 225 Gonal F, 225 Menopur, Ganirelix, 4R/3M/1F w/ICSI - PUPO!

    @Cupcakegal930 and @omnivorette, Just a FYI this site does not use the term "baby dust". Some of our members have had to cremate their babies so it can be very hurtful to see. You are both new so you wouldn't know but please refrane from now on. A simple good luck will do.

    Welcome! Sorry about the MIL. We have a tricky one with DH's hubby for various reasons and it makes everything so difficult! Good luck with the IUI!

    Welcome!! I am also a Type II.  I was Gestational with my first and third pregnancies.  It makes me a little nervous being a diabetic now.  Good thing, I am completely diet controlled and A1C have been beautiful for 5 years now.

    I am sorry about Monster in law.  GL!! I hope your stay is short!

    Damn, I am sorry to hear about the MIL and so good of you to bite your tongue and not tell her of her son's low motility.

    This seems like a positive and supportive place to turn. I'm brand new too. Surround yourself with positive people and try not to think about or let the negative MIL affect you. Neither of you should be made to feel that way. ;)

    Moved to Prague, Czech Republic for IVF
    2 Natural IVF cycles, 3 full IVF cycles, 4 transfers, 1 BFP - heard heartbeat at 6w5d
    Diagnosed MMC at 9w1d on 11/30/15
    Headed back home to Colorado 12/12/15

    DE attempt in Czech Republic!! 

    March trip to Prague canceled due to Pancreatitis. :sob:
    Headed to Prague April 30
    3 different donors resulted in 1 PGS tested embryo and 1 fresh embryo
    2 embryo's transferred (from 2 different donors) on 5/10/16
