I feel like I am doing a bad job of this. Because Bridget has been such a bad sleeper for the last month or so, I feel like whenever I have time to myself, even if it's just an hour at target, I don't want to call anyone or do anything but just have the time to myself. I'm also not working in an office again this election cycle, but here at home. That feels really isolating, although I am glad to be home with the kiddo.
I'm sure the first tip is to get off of the Internet and pick up the phone and call my friendS, but just looking for some tips on how to keep up my friendships even when things are really busy. Wondering if this is an issue or problem for anyone else?
Our little Samosa arrives in January!
Re: NBR: keeping up with adult friendships
My two other close friends don't have kids but one is DDS godmother so she us awesome about getting together with me and DD.
Other relationships are the wives of DHs friends, two of which had babies this year so it has helped us bond even though we don't go out like we used to.
I've let acquaintances go, I do very little with coworkers anymore, etc. mostly it is quality over quantity nowadays. I'm ok with the balance. Sometimes time alone is more important, to recharge.
