Pregnant after 35

Anyone else on baby number 5 or beyond??? How did your body adjust to it?

Hello ladies- I am now on baby number 5 and I'm not sure how my body is going to handle it this time around.. My oldest is 15 and youngest is 6 so it's been a while. My question is how did your bodies adjust to it? I'm going on 12 weeks and feel as if I'm already starting to show anyone else have any experience with this?

  • Hi there first time poster here. Im on baby number 6 im coming up 38 my oldest is just 10 (last week) youngest is 15 months. Im 16 weeks and body is very tired and sore especially in grion area. I havent been able to exercise this time to complete tiredness. But all in all we holding out well. Last baby number 5 i held together well till afterwards thats when it felt like my insides were going to fall put took alot longer to heal and feel normal

  • Baby #4 (oldest is 14, youngest 7) I started out with a lot of ms this time compared to none with my last 3. I was showing good around 10/11 weeks. After ms ended around 11 wks I felt great just tired ALL the time. Now that I am 33 weeks I was still tired but very sore. Also I started getting braxton hicks around 20 something weeks. Something I have never experienced before. It definitely takes a toll on our bodies.

  • Who can know? lol. I noticed a pattern with my pregnancies that I was a little less morning sick, but had increased discharge and increased joint looseness with each one. This one...12 years after #4. I have almost NO morning sickness. It's actually a bit scary wondering if the baby is ok. breast pain is "annoying" but not terrible. And my preggo test didn't show positive at 5 weeks which is NOT normal. I'm not going to feel like it's real until I at least hear a heartbeat. But I feel full in my uterus. Based on LMP I'm 8 1/2 weeks. But with that neg preg test, I'm guessing 7 weeks.
  • Thank you so much for all of your input- I'm a combo of all of you....Every symptom you've mentioned -I have lol. I was really into weight training before I got pregnant this time around I totally rocked out at  the gym but I haven't been since I found out I was expecting due to MS and fatigue plus my eating has been wayyyy off , I've been eating what ever I can tolerate and we all know that is NOT a good thing.  I can't wait to return back to a since of normalcy but I have no idea of this wonderful body of mine will let me, Your stories are very encouraging , I feel as if I am not alone in my quest to have a healthy baby .... And survive this pregnancy especially since I'm not exactly a spring chicken anymore and this isn't my first time at the rodeo. I'm torn between just enjoying this pregnancy and letting the chips fall where they may and getting strict on myself and buckling down.  I know I won't regret the trying to get back on the healthy track but it's a lot easier said than done lol. Cake is so much more appealing than carrots but I totally don't want to suffer the consequences so back to Paleo I go.... yay me.
