LO turns 1 in three weeks & for the last 4 months has been solidly sleeping in our bed.
This was never my intention b4 I had kids but here we are. If that wasn't bad enough she naps there too. So I have to lie next to her for both naps.
I've tried unsuccessfully to transition her to her crib or pnp both before & after she falls asleep (at the boob). Each time she wakes up & cries hysterically.
I'm exhausted. Also hoping to wean her at 1 but no idea how I'm gonna do that as she's addicted to the boob.
Sorry for long post. Anyone else in the same boat? Any advice. CIO is not an option. Couldn't listen to her cry like that
Re: Tips for breaking the co sleeping habit
I also no longer nurse him to sleep! (Didn't think that was even possible). Basically, you sit next to his crib until he falls asleep and then every 3 nights move farther away.
While there is no such thing as "no cry" because crying is how they tell is they don't like something, I liked this method. I was able to be next to him and didn't feel like I was just leaving him to cry alone.
I really recommend buying that book if you're interested. I even found a used one for $6 total after shipping.
Good luck!
I used to nurse ds all night in bed. Now, he's night weaned and stays in his crib all night! He wakes earlier now, but I guess I'll take what I can get.
@Itsmeally I have tried the drowsy approach too but she screams blue murder! I'll try her with a blanket tho. Thank you
I had to start a private blog when we started to vent everything out. Feel free to come here to vent/ask questions!
