AFM: I should O later this week, so I'm just POAS and HIO.  Keeping my fingers crossed that my LP will be a tad longer this month.

QOTW: My family doesn't travel for Christmas, but we get together a day or two after at my Grandma's house.  DH and I are starting a new tradition this year of going to the "Lights on the Lake" event.  It's a 2 mile stretch on one of the Finger Lakes that's lit up with Christmas lights.  You drive through it, but they do have one night that's a walking tour.  We missed the walking night this year, but I hope it do that next year.  I think we will drive through it next weekend.

rmpar29 We are doing much better!  We had to spend a lot of time with each other over Thanksgiving and not one big fight.  There were a few disagreements but nothing that wasn't over in a short time. The followup went well and we decided I'm going to go back on my adderall and possibly another med like anti anxiety or anti depression. I'm going to the dr today to discuss this. I feel comfortable with this decision and holding off on trying for about 3 months, because I know my emotional and mental health are most important. I want a baby so bad but I must take care of myself first. 

QOTW: My parents are divorced but I still have very specific family traditions with my own family and my husband and I have started some of our own. We got our first real tree this year and that is very nice and special. Decorating for Christmas has helped me get in a better and more positive mood since the miscarriage. I just hope it stays this way.

Thanks for the check-in @rmpar29 The light show sounds amazing. FX that your LP cooperates.

The +OPK was a mistake on my part. It is getting darker, but it is not there yet. We decided to go the route of EOD. I might push for more this week since FF is saying I should O sometime this week.

Question: I am actually a bit confused on when will I "truly know" that I have a +OPK. This was my test this morning. Last cycle it went as dark as this and then back to light. I am just so confused. In addition my CBFM just says high and no peak

No traditions here, but we have started adding a new tree ornament every year. This year the ornament is designed in honor of our angel baby. I can't wait until it comes in.

@rmpar29 Thank you for the check in.  FX for you this month.  We did have a nice Thanksgiving.  We got to see the majority of my moms side of the family at my grandmas house and all shared a nice meal together.  Back to TTC, this cycle my DH and I are NTGP.  We are cleared to but decided to just wait until after the new year to try again.  I wasn't sure if I could handle the emotional vulnerability of the chance I did get knocked up again right away.  Our plan is just to enjoy Christmas and try again in the new year. 

QOTW:  My family always goes to a Christmas Eve candlelight service at my church.  It's about an hour long and includes communion so it helps really get me in the mood for Christmas morning.  The lights on the lake sound very pretty and festive.  I hope you have a great time

@CFearsy -- Thanks. I am hoping I can take your lead and have O soon as well.

@Kellybenelly83 -- The real question is what am I not doing...lol. Yes, I am temping every morning, using OPK, and using my CBFM. The past two cycles have been pretty wonky so I am not too sure which one to trust.

@Kellybenelly83 - I actually think it's pretty normal to have old blood mixing in with EWCM.  Your cervix is open, so the blood has a chance to get out now.  I hope your body figures things out soon!  And @kittymeowbark does temp, her chart is in her siggy in case you are mobile. 

@jmicole1005 - I'm so happy to hear that you and DH are doing a bit better.  A loss is so hard to work through and I think it's great that you recognize that you need some help and are getting it.  If you are prone to anxiety/depression a loss can certainly put you into a tailspin.  Definitely take care of yourself and you will know when you are healthy enough to try again.  ((((HUGS))))

@CFearsy - LOL, I feel like we just follow each other around the board.  I read something in another check-in and come in here to comment on it.  I'm so glad that your RE appointment is so soon!  Are you trying to get your b/w done before then?  Oh hell yeah...they can take their sweet time fixing that car.   

@kittymeowbark - No, that is definitely not a +OPK.  It has to be as dark, or darker than the control line.  I think in the TTCAL blog has an OPK section that shows darkening OPKs.  Maybe that would help to look at. 

@catvaughn5002 - I'm glad that you had a nice Thanksgiving and that you are holding off on TTC until the new year. 

@MrsRed09 - I'm sorry that you are struggling.  Reminders are always hard, especially when others are announcing.  Be kind to yourself and take a break from reality when you need to.  Maybe get a pedi or a massage to help relieve some stress.  Yay for dropping betas.  I hope they reach 0 soon.

@kittymeowbark - I really don't think you are doing anything wrong.  I really think last cycle was anovulatory and I hope the OPKs darker up in the next few days for you.

@kellybenelly83 ugh sorry about the cold I hate being sick! Hope you get better soon! I hear you on being emotional - it's insane really. I break out into tears or emotional fits for the littlest thing. I think my DH thinks I'm literally going crazy.

AFM -

Accoring to FF I am not supposed to O until CD20, which is when I did last cycle. That seems so far away! Until then I am just OPKing and watching my CM (which I am new to and I am not sure how accurate I am - I guess it will take some getting used to!).  We are having sex EOD for now, but sometimes ED if the moment strikes us !

QOTW: We do chrismas eve with my MIL's family. It's actually really fun and I am looking forward to it! Christmas day at my parents, I have four siblings so it makes it fun and we get to just relax and spend the day together.

@agpjt413 - I'm glad that AF showed up.  Yes, the first period can certainly be heavier than the "norm".  Good luck with dropping the BBT.  Have you normally had regular cycles?  If you do, I don't see an issue with dropping the BBT. 

I just lost my mom in April, so I know what you mean about the holidays being more difficult.  I'm so sorry for your loss.   ((((((HUGS))))))

Hey there @rmpar29.  Thanks for the check-in, cycle buddy!  I'm impressed with you and a couple others on here keeping track of the large troop we have.  I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, so I'm sorry for not responding individually to all of you.  I do read your messages though and wish for the best of luck for all of you.

I'm expecting I'll probably O around Thursday most likely.  We'll have to see if our bodies stay in sync again rmpar!  My body has been oscillating between 8 and 11 day LPs, so we'll see if 8 shows up again.  I hope not but if it does happen, it will be interesting to see what my 7dpo levels show.  The nurse is insistent on CD21 bloodwork but I'm ignoring that advice because I'm sick of that stupid nurse.  I'm really anxious to see what the AMH is going to be.

In other TTC news, I started acupuncture yesterday to see what it can do for me.  I go again tomorrow.

QOTW: Any holiday traditions you and your family have? Any new traditions you want to start?  Christmas with my side of the family always consisted of opening on gift on Christmas Eve and everything else Christmas morning followed by breakfast casseroles for brunch.  Now that my siblings and I are older, we're doing Christmas day in our own homes with our little families, and then do other Christmas gatherings after Christmas.  I'm still working on new traditions.  My sister is starting a Christmas Eve tradition of opening Christmas PJs and watching a Christmas movie.  I really like that idea and probably going to steal it.

Thanks again for checking in! Still waiting on AF.... Been 3 weeks (today) since the D&C so hoping it's coming soon! Holidays have been a great distraction, but also hard as I'm sure you all know. Not sure how much longer it's supposed to be before I get it.

Husbands assignment in Europe starts next summer (July-September). With my work I can only go for about 6 weeks- so I'll be there all of August and a week in September. If we tried to concieve before then I'm technically not supposed to fly in third trimester, so we're going to have to wait to start trying again until after we are 30 or so weeks minus the first of October. Which puts us in the middle of March. Just worried if we wait too long to start trying again then I'll be even more frustrated than I would be if I had to leave europe early. However, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity so I'm trying to tell myself the baby can wait....

Hoping you have a long LP as well- what are yours normally?

@readinglove - I'm glad that everything came back normal.  A 10 day LP is still within the normal range, so they might not be willing to prescribe you Progesterone.  I go all "Type A" on my b/w too, so I understand.  When is your OB appointment?

@Kellybenelly83 - I hate being so close, yet not negative.  My last two tests were at 6.  I was so disgusted that it wasn't 0 the second time.  I hope that you only have one more draw hon!

@CheesyPeas - I swear you are my long-lost sister!!!  Your family sounds just like mine, one present on Christmas Eve, rest Christmas Day followed by breakfast casserole...staying home now and traveling after...Christmas pjs with a movie....OMG!  I knew you were stalking me, but I didn't realize you were stalking my whole family!  )  Holy moly, that is way too much coincidence.  I'm expecting to O on Friday, so our bodies (and lives apparently) are definitely in sync.  I'm glad that you are "ignoring the stupid nurse".  Seriously, you'd think a nurse that worked in that area of expertise would know better! 

@jones6863 - I hope AF comes soon.  Yes, waiting is hard.  This certainly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity though, so I understand your reasoning behind it.  What an exciting time you will have!  I'm jealous!  My LP averaged 11 days before my loss, so I'm hoping for another day or two.  Anything 10+ is considered "normal" but I don't like spotting on 10DPO.  Even though that doesn't count as CD1, to me it doesn't count as a DPO either.  DH's family is in Buffalo, NY?  I grew up about an hour south of there.  Small world!

Wow!  We do have a lot in common @rmpar29!  The others are going to start thinking we're AEs!   Now that our bodies are syncing up with their long lost counterpart, they can straighten up and get this show on the road!  And skip the miscarriages and late losses this time. Small world indeed, I don't know how y'all survived winters- it's brutal up there! DH is from the northern part. Too much snow!

But l I hope it stays on track for you this month, I hated the days I spotted that didn't count. It's like Id rather just have a new cycle start over if this is how it's going to go..... I had a shorter 9-10 day LP too- but my CD was 35 or more before O, so frustrating!

Hi Friends - this will be a post and run... I'm in Napa this week for business and time is short... (I know, rough life right?!)  

Physical went well though I don't have blood tests back just yet.  I haven't made an appt with the other RE - I need to jump on that.  We've been so consumed with my inlaws and taking care of them after their surgeries that I haven't had much time to myself.

AF is here! YAY! I feel like having her come is the final step of my healing. It still hurts; I'm supposed to be hitting my 2nd tri now, but having AF is a sign of starting anew,

QOTW: DH and I have always gotten a special holiday ornament together.  This is our 6th year doing so, and I loved putting them on the tree this year.  The fam and I are starting a new tradition -- fun xmas pajamas. We all have elf pajamas this year (they're on the Target website... so cute!)

@rmpar29 Yes! AF is finally here. I did not miss her at all but it feels good to finally be out of limbo. Even though I'm still benched until after next AF I at least have an idea of when I'll be able to burn the bench. I'm currently on CD2 and I'm attempting temping... So we'll see how that goes.

Hey Ladies!!! Im a little late to check in. Things have been very stressful. The DH andI are ffighting alot. Its been so diffrent since the we had our loss. Hoping things get better quick. AF hasnt showed up yet. It will be 4 weeks friday. I have always been a every 4 week girl so hopefully she will show up then even though they told me it could be up to 6 weeks to return. I had a good talk w my co worker (the one w the same EDD) yesterday and we cried together. I had been avoiding her completely the past 3 weeks n I finally felt strong enough to congratulate her n tell her things that are triggers for me and told her we can still talk as long as she will warn me if she wants to talk about her pregnancy. We used to be close so it felt good to talk to her.

@jones6863 - Please, please don't use the term "baby dust", especially on this board.  Some of the women here have had to cremate their babies, so that term means something completely different to ALers.  I know what you meant and I appreciate the thought.  You get used to the winters.  Where I grew up and where I live now we don't get the lake effect like Buffalo gets...thankfully.  Some places got 7 feet a couple weeks ago...yikes!

@readinglove - Yes, I hate being on the low side of normal.  I hope your lab report comes soon so you can analyze every number before your appointment! 

@MrsG80inTN - How are your in-laws?

@AngieL610 - YAY for AF!  (The one and only time we will cheer for her.)  I know what you mean about feeling like you are finally healing.  Once your body starts working again at least it brings you one step closer to resolution. 

@jordangoodnight - Another yay for AF!  Good luck with the temping.  If you have any questions let me know. 

@CFearsy - That's so irritating that your OB won't even do some b/w to make sure it's not a hormonal thing.  Ugh...  At least your RE appointment is soon so you can get started!

@KatyF0813 - Yes, a loss certainly takes all of the fun out of TTC.  I'm sorry that you are feeling blah, but I hope that your body cooperates and decides what it's new norm will be.  I've never heard of chaste tree.  Did it work?

@Mommie2be18 - I'm so glad that you and your co-worker got a chance to talk.  It's so hard when a loss gets in the way of a friendship!  I also hope that AF shows up soon for you.  Cycles can be wonky after a loss, so I hope your becomes "normal" soon.  (((((HUGS)))))

I'm way late to the check in. Thanks @rmpar29‌ for running it. I'm still getting weekly blood draws. I was 5.8 today, which is almost negative, but my OB wants me to have one more draw next week. As long as it's under 5, she'll let me go to monthly draw and start the 6 month wait.

We have Christmas parade in our town the first Saturday of December. We try to go to that if it's not too cold and then walk down to the local park which has a Christmas village. We always go to DH's grandma's for Christmas eve, drink and open gifts there.
