My dog was also a butt hole and shredded a maxi pad on a white rug. Ew she's trying to make up for it by sitting next to the swing and letting the baby laugh at her

TP to DH (DD and my sister, too).  There are three other people in the house capable of doing dishes, but I am the only one who does them.  We had not a single clean dish- DD drank chocolate milk out of my wine glasses, and my sister had DS1 eat his spaghetti-os with his fingers because we had no forks.  I complained to DH about needing help with dishes, so DH bought paper plates.

THAT IS NOT A SOLUTION.

I don't think what you are feeling is out of line and would be willing to bet that 90% of us feel the same. For whatever reason, most men act this way. Now that we are on our 2nd kid, DH is much better, but I still find myself resentful of him at times.

@kfitzguerra‌ totally not out of line. I gave up on DH helping in the MOTN because while he would feed and change DD, he wouldn't get her back to sleep. So he would plop her back in the Rock and play right by me and proceed to get in bed and fall asleep. I would wake him up if LO didn't fall asleep to try and make a point, but he never did so I just gave up.

He does help get her down for the first time in the evening. Once she is asleep I go to bed and he gets her back to sleep in her crib if she wakes up and clearly isn't hungry.

TP to my dogs. They seriously make parenting alone a thousand times harder. I hate them, yet love them so much.

This is 100% why neither DH nor myself could ever be a stay at home parent full time. It just works better for us as a couple when we both work. So much less resentment and so much more equity at home this way.

I realized I wasn't cut out to be a SAHM after about a day of being the sole caregiver for DD. Mad respect for SAHMs. While I am glad I have great maternity leave and can stay with DD as long as I can, I miss adult interaction. I think I will be a better working mom than a SAHM.

You can have a lunch break and actually eat.

At the end of the day there is a change of scenery. Yes it's physically tiring, but being a mom is mentally draining.

All the TPs to my husband who volunteered me to babysit tonight when he wasn't even going to be home!!!!! It wound up going ok, but it was still highly stressful having five kids under 5 tonight.. thank god my mom came to help me out..

Also, all the TPs to the scheduler at work who hasnt emailed me back in almost three weeks about my return date.. she doesnt particularly like me and I think shes trying to butt me out of my job.. which is annoying as hell..blah

TPs to Amazon for stating an item is in stock, charging me for 2nd day shipping, taking 12 days to ship, then when I call to complain they REFUND IT AND TELL ME TO RETURN THE ITEM

Um no... I need it...

Their solution: I can return the one that's about to arrive and reorder the item and wait AGAIN for it to be shipped
