Re: PgAL Weekly Check In : 12/2
EDD : April 29
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 18w6d // sweet potato
How are you feeling emotionally? I have been doing really good pregnancy wise. But getting more nervous now that we are a week out from our anatomy scan, since we have not had one since I was 6 weeks along.
Physically? Been feeling really good. I am gaining weight and almost back to my pre-pregnancy weight! I am getting heartburn now though.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : Had a check up last week. Heartbeat sounded good. They did a blood draw for second trimester screening. I have not heard back on result yet. I also got my first really good kick from baby on Thanksgiving. Surprised me for sure and made me jump. I have been getting some more strong movement since then.
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones : Anatomy scan on the 9th!
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? All things related to our Christmas trees. We go and cut down a live one each year with a permit from park land. It is a fun family adventure to drive up to the mountains to do this. This year we will have 4 trees in our house. 1 real & 3 fake (2 large and 1 small). I am completely obsessed with ornaments. So, I love decorating our trees, hanging all our ornaments and adding our new ones each year!

How are you feeling emotionally? Physically?
Emotionally it still seems to be a bit of a roller coaster, but I'm so thankful for this pregnancy. And so hopeful for the future.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : thought I had a bladder infection, but test came back neg. dr says it's likely just everything shifting and baby dancing on my bladder.
Had an ultrasound and everything looks great. The placenta previa is almost gone now so that's a relief.
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones
Next apt is Dec 29, for full anatomy scan. It's also the last milestone for my last loss. I feel like if I can make it past 21 weeks and into the new year I can finally put some of the pain behind me.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Usually we split our time between mine and DHs family. We both love the family dinners. but this year we're not going home for Xmas (staying in Europe) so hoping to start some of our own traditions. We'll be putting up the tree this weekend. And we will likely go into the mountains on Christmas evening for a few nights. Looking forward to hearing everyone else's traditions so maybe I can steal a few.
@momtosam thanks for doing this post. It really helps to know others are feeling similar things that I am.
Thanks @momtosam I am sleeping better!
EDD: May 1,2014
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 19 weeksish mango!
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically?
Emotionally: Better-FIL is visiting for the week and I felt baby kick for the first "for sure" time! I called in DH too late and he didn't feel but hopefully they will be stronger.
Physically: sleeping better, but I have this bad pain between my shoulder blades (probably from sleeping on my side). Still gaining 1 lb a week which is good! I'm a little hesitant and not liking the weight gain a lot but that means the baby is healthy.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : Nope
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: Dec. 17th! 2 weeks away!
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition?
We don't have a lot of family traditions that we have established yet, but DH and I both enjoy preparing for Christmas by going to Church for Liturgy (like Catholic Mass) and reading the hymns preparing us for the arrival of Jesus. I also love playing Christmas music on the piano and listening to it on Pandora!
Me: 26 DH: 29
3/13: Miscarriage
11/13: Ectopic Pregnancy-removal of 1 fallopian tube
BFP: 8/21/14

Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 18w/sweet potato
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? Emotionally, really great. We're finally starting to tell our extended families and Christmas really gets me going. Nervous though, have an appt tomorrow and appts still make me skiddish. Physically, small bouts of heartburn and am finding it more strenuous to get around (to be expected I'm sure)
Any updates from last weeks check-in : nope, just that our families know (which was fun to do)
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: appt tomorrow to measure the cervix
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Waking up christmas morning with hub. Eating cinnamon rolls and opening presents before we start running around to see family.
How are you feeling emotionally? I feel pretty good emotionally. I've let go of my anxiety the best I can and just pray for a healthy baby.
Physically? Good- haven't NF some back pains I think from sleeping and tossing and turning. Trying to get used to sleeping on my side and wedging a pillow under my hips. Doc said I don't really need to worry about this til 26 weeks though. Other than headaches I feel great.
Any updates from last weeks check-in: I think I've felt the baby kick- FTM so I'm not quite sure. I Can only feel it if I have my hand on my lower abdomen. It feels like a little thumping or pulsating. My DH got to feel it as well. Only happened twice so far that I'm aware of.
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: anatomy scan on December 18th!
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? This is more of a memory and not a tradition anymore. When I was younger we used to all go (immediate family-aunts/uncles/cousins) to my Grandparents house on Christmas Eve and open presents. Then my dad or uncle would take my fisher price flashlight that turned different colors (I of course didn't know this at the time) and run up and down the street with it on red and all us kids thought it was Rudolph and we had to go home and go to bed so Santa would come.
Since I've been older we haven't had many traditions. Need to start some with my family.
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 18 wks sweet potatoe
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically?
Physically I'm great. I've had an emotional couple of days. My angle baby was due Dec 9, so it's getting a little harder right now.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : I didn't check in last week.
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones
Appointment on Dec 17 then scheduling my anatomy scan for hopefully soon after.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Driving around and looking at lights with my family. We've done it since I was 3 years old. I can't wait to take my baby next year!
EDD: May 4th
Gestation: 18 weeks/sweet potato
How are you feeling ? Physically pretty great! Most of my awful symptoms have subsided! Yay!
Emotionally: ugh. The reason I have been not as involved on the board is that we just passed our angel's first birthday. I had felt so great emotionally. But the whole month of November I was a hot mess. I feel guilty when I do anything for this baby...i just don't ever want our angel to feel like we have forgotten or moved on. But I have noticed that in the 3 days since her birthday I am feeling more at peace with being pregnant again. I think I just needed her to have HER day.
Upcoming appts: I have my big scary anatomy/growth scan on Friday. I am so excited/terrified. Fingers crossed for good news!!
GTKY: what is your favorite holiday tradition? I love that my mom still throws a Christmas Brunch. Even though we are all old and married we all show up in our pj's Christmas Morning and eat good food and just love on each other. I am like 1900 miles from home...but we got lucky and get to go home for Christmas. So Christmas Brunch is still on!!
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit:
18 w 2 d sweet potato
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically?
Physically really good now, save for picking up my nearly 30 lb toddler is getting rough and if my bladder is full it's terribly uncomfortable.
Emotionally much better each week, though I freaked myself out this weekend and almost bought a Doppler.
Any updates from last weeks check-in:
No more sciatica! (Hopefully for good)
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones
Anatomy scan on the 15th!
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition?
My family doesn't really have any and it always made me sad since I love Christmas so much. I'm looking forward to doing Christmas Eve with my in-laws (though slightly less-so without wine lol) and want to start my own traditions next year
M/C 5w6d 6.25.14
Hoping for a rainbow!
Wow, reading everyone's stories and hearing about what you're going through reminds me how many strong mamas there are out there who go through the indescribable pain of losing a child. ((Hugs)) to all of you!
EDD: May 6
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 18 weeks tomorrow, sweet potato
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? I'm feeling good emotionally, just still having a hard time wrapping my head around being pregnant again (even though i've had all the symptoms, started feeling flutters, and have a bump!). I just still think of the baby we lost all the time, and am having a hard time connecting with this baby. Feeling the movements have helped and I'm hoping seeing our LO at the anatomy scan will help too! Physically feeling better, not as run-down but still pretty tired. I think that's just something that will be different this pregnancy compared to my first.
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: Anatomy scan next Wed!
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? I love everything about Christmas Eve. My family spends the day watching Christmas movies, playing games, listening to Christmas music, and eating great food. Then we go to the church service, come back to the house for some presents, more food and music and games. We recently moved out of state and will be hosting Christmas this year so I'm really excited to see everyone!
EDD: 5-5-15
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 18 weeks/sweet potato
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? I am doing ok currently emotionally. Physically pregnancy insomnia has kicked in but other than that just normal aches and pains.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : I don't think I have updated in a while. We are team Blue and baby is looking great!
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: Our a/s is on 12-11 and a Dr apt the day after. So just chugging along until then!
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas dinner at my parents house with my brothers, SIL's, and nephews! Its so much fun! We eat lots, laugh, drink, open presents one at a time, and just genuinely enjoy each others company. Then we all have a sleepover and have breakfast together the next morning! My Chart

Any updates from last weeks check-in : Got to hear the HB on saturday
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: Anatomy Scan on the 23rd, next appointment on the 27th
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? We watch a Muppet Christmas (with the fraggles) and then have popcorn and hot chocolate and go look at lights
Thank you for check-in @momtosam
EDD: May 28
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 14 weeks, I'm always lost on the fruit.
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? I'm doing alright. This week has been so hard emotionally. Having another grandfather pass away while pg is much too familiar to me. It's also getting closer to the time Addie passed away. I think the New Year will be harder this year. We are going to be at the IL's vacation cabin but coming home on her birthday to put flowers out at her grave. The funeral for gpa is next Friday.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : Nothing much to report. I've had some annoying discharge which reminds me I'm in second tri finally. Other than that I'm waiting for our appt. on Tuesday.
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: Appointment on Tuesday and then we have a boutique u/s scheduled on the 21st to hopefully find out the sex before Christmas. DH is so excited to know and starting to talk more about the baby and future plans.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? I love going to cut our tree down. We also have all day bake days. I've always done one with my sister, mom and grammy and now I go to my MIL's as well. It's all the women on their side. I love baking normally but it's agreat time to spend with them. I'm also a really serious gift decorator. I choose paper and ribbon accoring to each person. I pick their tags out and make sure it all matches the person. I spend hours and hours wrapping and I love it. I try and avoid giving gift cards because there's not as much to wrap. Mostly I love the season itself. I love the joy and all the things Christmas brings.

Thank you so much. I'm always so overwhelmed by the love of everyone here.
I'm actually really thankful we have a place to go and take flowers and little trinkets. It's so special. She's in a baby area of the cemetery and near H's cousin who died of SIDS. We really feel connected when we go there and remember her. It's a beautiful cemetery with other family members buried there as well.

How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? Physically doing much better. Nervous that I'm gaining faster than last time, but I think that I am finally not sick. Emotionally pretty good. A friend of a friend just miscarried this past week at 17 weeks so I'm pretty heartbroken for them. Just awful. =( No idea why.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : we're getting more confident about telling people. We told a few more this weekend, but we have still not gone public.
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones December 15th we have an appointment.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Oye, spending time with family? I don't have one yet. DH generally works holidays (he is a nurse) so we usually have to find other plans. We decorated this weekend (lights on the house for the first time ever, we recently moved here) so that was fantastic putting up with DS. I just love spending time with my family.Seems like a lot of us have EDDs and/or birthdays around this time so sending everybody extra love.
EDD: 5/28/15
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 14+4
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? About the same for both. Sleep is ok, I have a little back pain now and sometimes can't get comfy, but nothing big.emotionally? Passed EDD and survived all the girls from DS's BMB that got pregnant about the same time as me having their babies over the last few weeks without any meltdowns. Helps that the babies are extra cute.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : Nothing new this week
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Decorating the tree while listening to music and sipping hot chocolate. I also love the first few moments Christmas morning where we drink hot chocolate and read the Christmas story.
@momtosam Thanks for the check in every week! I am glad you were able to join us again. My "nose" issues really have not gotten better. I just have all this extra sinus drainage and it makes me ill every morning at least once. My doctor advised to try mucinex or claritin to clear it up but they don't help. I also have 4 trees that I put up in our house, 1 real and 3 fake.
PlayboyMommy I am now having trouble with my sciatica. Do you have any tips on dealing with the pain or sleeping positions at night? I am glad yours is better maybe there is hope for me as well.
CTri17 I love the Muppet Christmas with the Fraggle rock characters in it. The chef cooking is one of my favorite scenes! I was just telling DH the other day that we need to find that movie.
Poppy715 I am so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. It is always harder to lose a loved one around the holidays.
EDD: May 18
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 16 weeks 2 days/ Avocado
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? Emotionally I am doing pretty good. Physically I am doing good except for my sciatica is acting up on my left side. Started out as just minor twinges every now and then but now it hurts to walk.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : No updates
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: Our angel baby would have been due last month around Thanksgiving.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? I love everything about Christmas! Spending time with my family, baking, seeing all the beautiful decorations. My favorite would have to be the movies on television though. I just love Elf, The Santa Clause Triology, Christmas with the Kranks, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. But my favorite has to be A Christmas Story. I have pieces for my village and other little decorations from the movie and I just can't believe it when someone tells me they haven't seen the movie.

How are you feeling emotionally? I'm feeling pretty good this week. 2 weeks from yesterday and we will know what 'it' is! Can't wait! Physically? Much better this week pregnancy symptom wise. I came down with a nasty cold, maybe the flu?, this weekend. Starting to get over it and I can't wait till I'm done sneezing!
Any updates from last weeks check-in :nope! Oh! I got called out in the hallway at school today, that was a first. One of the teachers I'm pretty close with noticed I was carrying water and crackers, pointed it out and I was just like yep! And he goes when was your last beer?? Darn those boy teachers!
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones
Dec 15 - find out what it is!
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? This is a tough one. I'd have to say cinnamon rolls and coffee with homemade baileys in it on Christmas morning. Looks like I'll have to skip part of that this year!
EDD: May 15
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 16w
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? I am really tired. Got home Sunday from the hospital and still sore, but I'm pretty sure it's baby I keep feeling kicking so that I guess is kinda cool. Had lots of U/S in the hospital, but still terrified of loosing baby after all of this.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : Had appendicitis and surgery to remove it on Thanksgiving.
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: I'll have another scan on Thursday to check on baby so really nervous about that. Anatomy scan is scheduled for 12/19.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Being with my family in the mountains and my mom's cooking.
EDD: May 7
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit:
17 weeks 5 days
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically?
I'm had some heartburn and insomnia, but nothing too bad. I haven't felt any movement yet, but I have an anterior placenta so I'm trying to panic. It was nice seeing a lot of family on thanksgiving and having good news to share. I was going to keep things completely off Facebook, but I'm starting to think about doing some sort of announcement near Christmas when we know the sex. I'm torn because all those announcements and baby photos were so hurtful right after my miscarriages.
Any updates from last weeks check-in :
No doctor updates
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones
Biding my time until my anatomy scan on Dec 18
GTKY:
Can it be a tie? First is doing a live tree. I converted my husband who had never had one before me. Now we go out and chop it down at a farm. We both have a bunch of ornaments from our childhood and I have some my grandmother gave me. It is such a hodgepodge, but I love it! Then there is also lots of baking for Christmas. I have a few cookie recipes from each of our families that I make each year.
EDD: 5/29
Gestation in Weeks/Fruit: 14w4d
How are you feeling emotionally? Physically? I've been feeling pretty good, still not really interested in eating most of the time so I struggle to make meals for the family.. Emotionally I am still worried most of the time, the spotting from the SCH totally messes with my mind. The extended family found out on Thanksgiving, which was nice to let a few more people know.
Any updates from last weeks check-in : Totally missed last week.. I went yesterday just for a doppler check with the nurse, I needed some reassurance and still don't have my own doppler.. All was well with a HB of 170
Upcoming Appointments/Milestones: 16 week appt on 12/12, then waiting for our AS in January
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition?I can't say that we really have any traditions.. I love everything about Christmas, but have been slacking this year and my tree isn't even up yet. I think one of my favorite things is that our family goes to my grandparents house on Christmas Eve for dinner and some presents, even though it is the same exact people who get together on Christmas day. It is so enjoyable to know that my grandmother will make the same food every year and that we get to spend the extra time together.DD1: February 2011

Gestational Age: 17 weeks, 4 days
Physically: I'm feeling much better. I think the nausea is almost gone (hope I didn't jinx myself by saying that). I'm getting some energy back. I definitely feel baby moving a lot now. For a couple weeks I was pretty sure I felt him here and there. Monday night I felt him for about 3 hours straight and he's moving way more frequently now (kicking me as I write this)
Emotionally: Good! Feeling him move really helps!
Upcoming Appointments: OB on Friday, A/S is Dec. 22
GTKY: I love so much about Christmas its hard to pick just one. This year I just loved putting up our tree and all the ornaments. Addy helped me this year and picked out where to put everything. Each year we will have her pick out a new ornament to buy and this year she picked out a sequin-covered turtle. Its perfect because it reminds me that "turtle" was her first official word.
