2nd Trimester

TMI but need some answers!! :/.

So the last couple of days I have had some jelly yellowish discharge, but it only was there after wiping. Tonight however there was some on my panty liner, and when I wiped and a glob fell into the toilet. There was no blood, no brown or pink just yellow and I am wondering if it could be my mucus plug or if it's just normal discharge? This just started a couple of days ago.

Mucus discharge is normal. If you feel like it's an alarming amount, or its a weird color like green, call your doctor. Women can lose parts or all of their mucus plugs as well, they typically will grow back. But if you're worried, call your OB or midwife.

  • Okay so as it stands then I should be okay? Like I just always was under the impression that after you lose your mucus plug you are about to have your baby ha and I am only 25 weeks and 4 days pregnant
  • It's probably just regular mucus and not your plug.  I had a ton of it with DS not so much with DD.  You are fine.
  • Okay thank you so much!
  • I had something similar with ds except it was clear and blob like with traces of blood. My OB had me come in to be checked out. This was at about 25 weeks. They weren't sure what it was but The remainder of my pregnancy was healthy and I have a beautiful happy and healthy 21 month old little boy.

  • snail trail...totally normal

if it smells weird or you have cramping/pain/burning/bleeding - get in for a UTI or vaginal infection check.

I have very noticeable amounts of vaginal discharge...some days it is watery, some days it is more like boogers.

One of the joys of pregnancy.
