Measuring big and freaking out

Freaking out! Went to the doctor today and I'm currently 32 weeks and 5 days but measuring 36 weeks. He is sending me for an ultrasound Thursday. Also was told my protein was a little high today which has been fine to this point. Anyone have thoughts or advice? I really am worried because I've had a great pregnancy so far without any problems at all-no gestational diabetes, normal bp, normal everything. Thanks! Sarah

Don't freak. Measurements can be off. My friend was measuring forty at 36 weeks and her baby was six pounds. Just get it checked out. As for your protein, what did your doctor say? If he isn't stressing then you don't stress either.

I was freaking out about this, too. This is my fourth baby and the first time I am measuring ahead. I had high fluid last time but did not measure ahead, but thought it might be fluid again. I'm now measuring 39 weeks at 34 weeks. I had an u/s and everything looks fine. Baby is not abnormally large and I do not have high fluid. I hope all is well with you, too!

Try not to freak out, it's a bit of a guessing game for the Dr on some level. My best friend was told her first son was 'big' & going to be at least 8.5 lbs... he came out at 6lb 2oz! I was told my LO is 'big' as well a few appts ago, then last week the Dr tells me that 'maybe not, I've got a lot of fluid tho' so...worry not, big or small your baby will seem teeny tiny when they arrive! I am 30 weeks and am measuring 6 weeks ahead. I have an ultrasound next week but the doctor is assuming it's more fluid than baby. Just going in weekly to keep an eye on DD with NST and ultrasounds.

Reading things like this makes me feel better  this is my 5th and am measuring a week behind. Iv never been told this before. Im going to relax now and blame the measuring tape!

I had two different doctors measure me one day apart from each other.  The first said I was measuring 32 weeks and the next doctor the next day said I was measuring 34 weeks.  I figure baby will get here when it get here so I'm not worrying about it.  I do have an U/S scheduled at 36 weeks just to check positioning but as long as baby is healthy, there isn't much I can do but wait for his/her arrival.
