Re: Pregnancy Check-In (December 1st)
My AW moment of the week I am officially in the third trimester!! That being said I am started to feel nauseous again (not sure if this is normal or if I am getting sick) I also have this horrible dry cough that keeps me up at nights. I lost weight at my last check-up but they didn't say anything about it. I told the nurse not to worry because I am sure I put it all back on while eating my Thanksgiving dinner. I finally have my hopefully final cervical length check on Wednesday fingers crossed I'm not still in the to short side and that my last one the person doing the measurements was just doing something wrong.
QOTW: R and I "meet" on plenty of fish. After talking via text and phone calls for about a month she drove down the night before Thanksgiving (over 4 hours) so we could meet in person. She got to my house around 1 am and then had to leave the next day around 11am as she had to work. We got along great and planned another visit that was longer a couple weeks later. We did the long distance thing for about 6 months before I finally convinced her to switch jobs and move in with me. Our unofficially 4 year anniversary was Thanksgiving. We started discussing TTC after watching for 18month old niece over a long weekend. About 8 months after deciding to try and have a little one we finally made it to the RE office and now after many ups and downs we are 27w pregnant!

Feeling great- we had our baby shower yesterday and it was a lot of fun! We got sooo much stuff. The surprise got blown but it was still a great time LOL Tomorrow we have our 28 wk appt (although I'll be 29w) and I BETTER get another sonogram
M & I met in my hot tub. LOL. M went with some mutual friends to a local water park on Labor day and it was super cold so they texted me and asked if they could come in the hot tub. I was just hanging around so I said sure.... and that's how we met After that, we flirted and texted for a couple weeks then made it official about 3 weeks later. Our first "dates" were group outings, and then we went to a bar for drinks a couple weeks in (alone). That ended up being the bar where we first said the L word a couple months later. We started talking about children after we got engaged, so a year later maybe a bit more. And, seriously just after the wedding. Got preg 8 months after the wedding.
Hi :-h Hope everyone's well this week.
Not much going on this end. The heartburn has passed, I'm learning to cope with the rash and baby is still happy and active for much of the day (I thought they were supposed to sleep more at this stage. Who knew?) We're heading into a make or break week with regards to our birth preferences though.
You may recall that the birth centre we want to be transferred to will only accept those classed as low risk quite late in the pregnancy. We have an appointment on Wednesday with the midwife. She is suggesting that we book in for a placement scan if baby hasn't turned by this week (and I'm pretty sure she hasn't) It's really nothing to worry about at this stage but a potential breech will not look good when we apply to transfer. Then there's the consultant appointment on Friday. If anyone is going to steamroller over our chances, it will be her. Even though I've had great iron levels all through my pregnancy & no signs of issues with my kidney, she seems determined to find an excuse to keep me at the Central delivery suite. Wish us luck >-
QOTW: A and I met briefly in a bar just as I was starting uni; she was over from Spain, visiting a friend. We exchanged emails and then started 'dating' online - with our busy schedules and the long distance thing, romance by email actually worked well for us. Then we separated for a while - the distance thing - before A found me again on Facebook and contacted me to let me know she was moving to the UK for her studies. I had butterflies in my stomach when I went to meet her. As nervous as I was though, I didn't want her to spend her first birthday in the UK alone. Our first official date was a visit to the aquarium and then pizza. Two months later, I was moved in.
Alright folks! 38w3 days and still feeling good.... But getting antsy! I feel like baby boo may have dropped because sometimes I go to the bathroom, get out of the bathroom and think, oh I should have gone to the bathroom while I was up... then I remember that was why I was up. In other words, I have to pee all the time. I have been having Braxton Hicks every night, but nothing to amazing on the labor front.
We are still getting stuff done. We finished our power of attorney forms for the hospital so A is in charge of medical decisions... if I can't make them (which shouldn't be the case...), we packed our hospital bag and I finished the changing table.
Our Doula's Mom passed away this week... and she will be out of town Tues-Thurs... so we are praying for no labor then. She does have back-ups, but we have a great relationship with her, and I know she really wants to be there, and we really want her to. So I am starting induction acupuncture on Thursday (38w6d), and will probably start other home remedies then.
Oh man! I can't believe we are getting so close. We will have a baby in the next 4 weeks. CRAZY! Its like the worlds weirdest two week wait.. because you never know when it is going to end, but you are anxious all the time that it could be any moment. Yikes!
QOTD: We met a full 4 years before we started dating and (scandal alert) A was my bosses boss.... So we were pretty much in denial, but started becoming very close friends, and then started hanging out all the time, and one thing led to another, and then we finally admitted we were in love and that was the end of that. We started talking about having kids together probably before our first real date.... Because we both wanted them so badly, and we both knew we would make a good team. And here we are.... just weeks away. BAHHHHH!!!!!
Baby Hayden Frances born 12/20/14 at 11:11 a.m... Our perfect little miracle. Here's how we got here:

Going on 23 weeks Wednesday! We now have weekly check ups to make sure I'm not mirroring the baby, check my BP, weight, measure the belly and check baby girls heart rate.
We had our second checkup this afternoon and the baby was moving all over the place when the NP was trying to get a good heart rate. Which was awesome! She was even kicking at the doppler.
I'm just so happy that the baby has been with us for another 4 weeks when the doctor said she would either pass away in utero or I would miscarry very soon after we had our first level 2 ultrasound.
Side note, belly has grown a bit since the last measurement. It was 21cm last week and this week it's 24! My uterus was just below my belly button and today it was above! Crazy, but exciting and that would explain why I feel soooooo bloated. I am starting to feel nauseous and very tired again like in the first tri, so that sucks, and I've been getting headaches more than usual...
QOTW: Jo and I met on plenty of fish! We chatted for about 2 months and would make bets about the weather, football, whatever. I won a bet so Jo had to make me dinner. What she didn't know was the dinner was on my birthday! Our first real date was dinner at a sushi restaurant and she didn't even like sushi! But she arte a spicy tuna roll to impress me. Hahah
That same night we were driving around in a winter storm and we got caught in snow going into a parking lot. But I managed to get us out with a bunch of swearing involved. Haha
We were talking about how we both wanted kids much before we even started dating. So it's always been a dream of ours.
I'm 35, DW is 33

@firstcomeslove2013 A due date might help huh?! lol
The thing is I dont have one. I did The Bump due date predictor based on transfer date and it says 7/29... but there is another girl on here who is a one day behind me in weeks and her DD is 7/27, so I dont really know how that works! LOL
I have an Ultrasound Thursday and am hoping they give me a date!
7/22/15 - It's a boy!
About me: 33, married to DW for almost a year (12/13/13 is 1 year anniversary), together for 2.5 years. I am 11 weeks 4 days pregnant with a very cute little singleton Official due date is 6/19/15.
How is everyone feeling? I am feeling pretty good, I never had MS too bad - never threw up just need to eat every couple of hours and that seems to keep the sickness at bay. I am still tired, but not as exhausted as I have been in the previous weeks. I am looking forward to the relief that the 2nd tri is supposed to bring!
How is pregnancy treating you and your partner this week? Great! We got to see our LO yesterday! We even recorded the U/S and have watched the flicker of the heart beat countless times since last night!
Any updates to share? I am considered High Risk because of HBP, but I am happy to report that I have been off all BP medication since week 3 and every time my BP is checked its perfectly in range.
Any upcoming appointments? Our next appointment is 12/29 - I will be 15 weeks so we will be able to hear the heart beat with a doppler! We are actually thinking of getting one for home, just so we can hear the heartbeat whenever we want.
QOTW: How did you meet your significant other? What did you do for your first date? How long into the relationship did you start discussing eventually have children together?
We actually met on POF. I messaged her and she happened to be on a cross country road trip helping a friend move. So it was about a week or so before we really could start corresponding. We texted for a couple of weeks and met after about a month. We had our 1st date at a local pour house and we ended up talking for hours! It was all so natural. We dated for a couple months before we became official. We took things REALLLY slow. But once we made it official - things moved fast! We knew that we would be married and have kids. We casually talked about it, but as soon as we got married we started taking steps to get to a place where we could be in a good place to have a kid....and BOOM....it happened on the 1st try. We are so truly lucky and thankful!
Sorry if this seems a little AW but just got back from mw appointment and am ridiculously excited at how well baby is doing. Head down, great heartbeat, fundus just scraping 34 - which is fine, since we know she's gonna be tiny. It's all looking good to get our transfer in. Just wish I'd thought to check the book before leaving the health centre as I don't think she's recorded my weight correctly.
One appt. down, one to go >-
