My aunt came up from Mississippi and is going to do pictures of me and T with the girls during skin to skin tomorrow! I took her down to the NICU earlier to see the girls for the first time and she got this picture of me loving on Grayson. I'm so in love with my beautiful girls!
The girls had a rough morning with their IVs. They both pulled them out, and they got Grayson's back in but had to put a little line in Hadley's belly because they stuck her a couple of times but couldn't get it back in. They are getting a little jaundiced but they are under the blue lights and we will get to do skin to skin at 2:00!
Sorry to hear they're having a tough time! I would think it's a good sign at least that they're feisty enough to pull out IVs? Hope the skin to skin was good for all of you!
We didn't actually get skin to skin time because we had to watch her IV because of the way they had to put it back in and because she was a little cold. So we had a heated blanket and hat on Grayson, and Hadley isn't going to be able to be held for another couple of days. But it's okay, we will wait as long as we have to for it to be safe for us to do! Grayson cried when the nurse took her from T to put her back in the incubator and he cried. He said it broke his heart to hear her cry and that he just wanted to hold her forever! She had just ate 13 WHOLE ML FROM THE BOTTLE so I just let him hold her since he had to leave for work, and I'm going back down at 7 to hold her. I cannot wait Thanks to all of you for checking in on us and being curious about the girls! I love talking about them and sharing their pictures!
