Sibling name for Rhys

We have a son Rhys and we're having trouble coming up with sibling names we can agree on. My husband unfortunately loves trendy names and boy names for girls and I like traditional names. If it's a girl she'll have the middle name Alice (which I'd live as a first name but DH hates it). Help please!

  • The only name we both like so far is Quinn for a boy. I know a lot of girls are being named Quinn but I guess it's the same with Rhys (Reese/Reece). Maybe Quinn Scott? Scott is my DHs middle name. We're having a terrible time finding anything beyond this and I'm not sold on Quinn.

  • DH seems to have similar criteria.  I had to find traditional names with fandom connections.  We ended up with Alexander (Xander, as in the guy on Buffy), Gwendolyn (Gwen Stacy, from Spiderman), and Benjamin (Luke Skywalker's son is Ben.)

Note: we will have Gwen or Ben, not Gwen AND Ben, despite DH not seeing the problem.

  • I'm glad Quinn Scott is going over well! Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll keep bringing them up to DH. He feels like most girl names sound like "old ladies" (Charlotte, Beatrix, Eleanor, Cordelia). He likes Dylan and Alex for girls- which I hate lol. I do not mind unisex names obviously but I don't care for masculine sounding names for girls.
  • I say Ryder for a boy. That's my oldest DS name and last pregnancy we thought of using Rhys but went with Masen. So I vote Ryder :)
