Hi, my name is Mia. DH and I have been trying to conceive since our loss last October 2013. It was a shock I got pregnant even then as I was 42 and we had never conceived before.
Each month that went by without a BFP, I seemed to be a little sadder. But I finally came to terms with the fact that maybe it wasn't in the cards for me. So, I gave it all to God and said it's okay if I'm not meant to get pregnant again.
Well, long story short, the following month we got the BFP we wanted without planning for it!
I am now 18+2. Just had my A/S last Monday. And due for another in 3 more weeks. My doctor said despite my age of 43 and past history of loss, all is looking great. He also stressed how important it is for me to be happy in this pregnancy and enjoy it. Not to focus on previous loss or what might happen.
Anyway, I am happy to finally be here to share in the support, trials, and triumphs we all are facing!
Easier said than done @footprint! I do try my hardest. I find myself counting the days between my monthly appointments. I am waiting until I can feel LO moving around (haven't gotten there yet!). I suspect it will help me not worry half as much.
Oh yea, it is so much easier said than done! I didn't mean to imply it was easy, in any way keeping busy helps a lot of people. And I tried really hard not to think about being pregnant, but it didn't work too well, either. If it helps you any, as slow as first trimester was for me was as fast as second trimester flew by. Congrats again!
