Trying to Get Pregnant

So...no one's going to comment?

Usually when I post on a board that my grandmother had 22 children, no miscarriages, and no twins, I get a whole lot of "WHAT?!?!?"  Wink

Edit: I'm just kidding, didn't expect a lot of people saw it.  Smile

Huh?  No really, that's it, most people are just surprised and sort of freak when I mention it.  Didn't really mean anything!

  • I think that's about how many my GMIL had, but some of them were still born, died very young.  She ended up with 12 living into adult-hood, all girls.
  • That is pretty insane.  How did people have so many kids back then seemingly so easily when we are dying to just have the first one!!  Is it b/c they started when they were about 17??

My great grandmother had 12 kids, and most died before adulthood...which led her to go off the deep end, understandably.

Seriously, now let's here your gmama's story...how old was she when she had them, etc.  TYVM

  • My great grandmother had 19 children... My grandmother had 7, my mom would have had 5 (I only have a brother). My whole damn family is so fertile, except me..

Mine too, if she wasn't off the deepend before all the kids, she definitely was afterward.  2 of them died swimming in a lake when they were 9 and 10, and she lost it.  I do think it's partially because they started younger.
