We are finishing up the list for the boys and I'm just looking for few ideas on things your two year olds are loving right now. With a recent birthday, they are covered on big gifts. They are super into little trains, cars, trucks, planes, so we've already gotten them some of those. We are also going to four two year old boy birthday parties in the next month, so I REALLY need some good ideas. I just can't think of anything else! 

What are your must-have, two year old toys in the $20-40 range?

I have the box set like that (the top itself makes the noise), but the fridge one looks very cool. That's a great idea for the bday parties!

Sticker/coloring books, books (I feel like we can never have enough with how much he loves to read), any kind of building/connecting/stacking blocks, pretend food/cooking stuff, construction set (hammer, drill, screws) and he still loves his Battat take apart airplane. They sell it and a few other take apart vehicles on Amazon

My ds is 3 and really loves the imaginext toys. He received the Fire station/city last Christmas and is still playing with it. I'm planning on getting him a couple more imaginext toys this year.

What about playdoh? There are lots of different themed sets. Ds just got a Spider-Man one that he really likes.
