period like pain

Hi ladies,
Over the last 12 hours iv been experiencing period like pain in my lower abdomen and lower back. Im putting it down to braxton hicks as iv had no other symptoms of labour. Im 35+4. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

My midwife told me that period-like cramps are a sign of real, not BH, contractions. If they're coming more than 4 an hour or feel pretty constant, I would call your doctor or midwife.

Definitely keep an eye on those pains. Everyone has described real contractions to me as period cramp.

Went and got checked out.. nothing to report... baby is happy as larry. Just getting ready for the big day!

I had these too, really felt like I was getting the monthly, stared a week ago, I've been checked for infection etc, all clear, I was told its just stretching and preparation too, I guess we all feel it differently.
