Butterflies?

to all the mommys who have already experienced this, I have a question. When do you start feeling the baby move? I know it's been described to me like feeling some butterflies in your belly. I can't wait to experience it for myself! Any idea to what month that usually occurs? :x

With #1 I was 13 weeks when I felt her flutter. That's a little earlier than usual though.

With my first it ocuured somewhere around 19 weeks. It is wonderful feeling them inside.

I started feeling flutter at 14 weeks with DD. They became more defined by 16weeks. DH could feel her closer to 18 weeks. These are all early though.

I can tell you I *never* missed being pregnant. Pregnancy was rough on me last time, and so far this one is shaping up the same. I prayed desperately for this pregnancy because I desperately wanted this baby, but the pregnancy itself I would happily do without if I could! Not everyone glows!

To answer the OP, I felt DD flutter once at 16 weeks, and more consistent at 18-20 weeks. I started feeling hiccups and fun movement like that around 22 weeks, and that is about when DH was able to feel movement if he put his hand on my belly. Later on you actually see your belly move as the baby moves. I took a couple of videos of it last time. (Just for myself!) So bizarre!

Around 16-17 weeks, they became more defined around 20 weeks. I could feel hiccups all the time, dd always had them.

18+ weeks I felt him for the first time, it wasn't flutters at all, just a big roll. You could watch him move from the outside at 20wks. My kid was a beast, I ended up with a dislocated rib because of him and he's still just wild

I felt first around 16ish weeks, but I wasn't certain that's what it was! Haha. But by 20 weeks I knew what was what and DDs dad could feel it too. I'm wondering if I'll feel them earlier or stronger with twins this go around. We will see.

I think I first felt something around 16 weeks, but wasn't sure if I was imagining it or not. 18-20 weeks became more clear.

I loved being pregnant the first time around, once I got past 12 weeks. This time around I'm thinking it can't go fast enough, but I'm only 8 weeks so hopefully things will get better again at the 12 week mark.

I was also around 13 weeks, but it was a totally fluke. I think kiddo was in the right position, and I was tucked up too. It was very distinctive. Around 16-17 weeks, I was feeling it consistently. I think I was on the earlier side of things though. It could be well past 20 weeks before you feel anything if you have an anterior placenta.

@junebug0611 when one of my very good friends was pregnant last year, around about 35 weeks or so, she would poke one side of her belly and her DS would start freaking out and kicking. She videoed it and sent it to me one night. About 10 minutes worth of them playing. It was the strangest most sweetest thing I've ever seen! It's so neat. I can't wait to feel baby with this pregnancy.
