This is my first time with Progesterone suppositories. It makes things quite messy. Ugh. How often do you have to use? Mine are 3 times a day. I've been on them for 2 weeks. Last night and today I've had more of a tan/brown discharge (sorry if that's tmi). It freaked me out. Especially since my 3 miscarriages started like that. My nurse said its normal and that my cervix may be irritated from pills. Have you experienced anything like that?
My RE put me on progesterone after seeing my first beta results. They gave me samples of Endometrin to use and a prescription for Prometrium once the samples run out. Both are only twice a day, though.
Jeezidunno, I hope you get your BFP!! Keep us updated.
Heartxsongs, have you had any side effects yet from the progesterone? I started it as soon as I ovulated and my boobs were so sore a week later. I read that it causes pregnant symptoms.
I just got put on it today (my level was 11.5 but she wants me at 15 because of my previous mc). She told me it was a pill that i take once a day before bed. Hoping I dont go to the pharmacy and find a suppository. . Lol.. but if so ill do anything for a healthy pregnancy.

(Trying to get mobile bump to use my right account - heartxsongs was my old knot account, hopefully this posts as my bump account!)
Prior to to going on progesterone, I had sore breasts just as a post-ovulation symptom. They are still sore now, but not really any different since I have been taking the suppositories.
Since starting them, I have noticed increased fatigue and morning queasiness. Not sure if these are related to the suppositories or just the pregnancy in general though.

Looks like I'm going to have to start taking progesterone vaginally, and I have a prescription waiting for Estrace. From what I'm reading I assume that is also vaginal?
I hope I don't run into anyone I know at the store.. lol
When I went to fill my Prometrium prescription last night, a coworker of mine was in line at the pharmacy right in front of me. I did a lap around the store before getting in line to avoid that awkward situation, haha!

The progesterone made my boobs sore just a week after starting it. I was only 7dpo so I didn't think it was pregnancy related. They got worse but now (4 weeks 3 days pregnant), they aren't really sore. Is that bad news? My boobs never got sore before with my previous pregnancies until 5-6 weeks. Do you think it's just all progesterone related?
I'm taking the progesterone pills- before my appointment yesterday my mom told me that she had to take the progesterone suppositories, so I'm grateful for the pills!
I wasn't sure what Estrace was so I googled it. I am on an oral Estradiol once daily. Progesterone 3x a day. They haven't tested my estrogen or progesterone level lately..not sure how they know if it's working or even enough?

I didn't go on progesterone until the day I got my first beta result and they told me I had lower than recommended progesterone levels. When I got my second beta, they only gave me my hCG level. When I asked if my progesterone looked better, they said that once they put you on progesterone, they can't use blood work to tell if the levels are improved - something about the suppositories not easily translating to your blood progesterone levels. They told me they assume you are getting what you need because you are on the medication. Not sure if all health care providers would agree with this, but that's what mine told me.

My OB is having me tested once a week for both hCG and progesterone levels until my betas hit 5000. They really just want to make sure that this pregnancy stays viable and that I am reacting properly to the supplements. I think its based on your history and your OB's perspective.
It's so weird because my fertility dr didn't do a follow up beta. Last 3 pregnancies I always had follow up betas. She said my number was high and they didn't feel they needed to. I would have liked the reassurance.
I'm on the suppositories. I had a targeted hormone profile done (ended up being the month we got pregnant) and my progesterone did a crazy dip a few days after I ovulated then went back up, so my dr put me on it just since my levels were so wonky. I only have to take it at night, thank God, so it's not super messy. Still have to wear a liner though!
Yes, i am on a progesterone cream. I had low betas (83 at '15dpo' - not quite sure on the days because I am still BFing and we weren't TTC, but we took a second test and they were doubling nicely to 275 at 17dpo - which means they are doubling every 41hrs!). The low betas concern me because with my DS my first blood test was 2200...trying to focus on the doubling instead of the low numbers. But PgAL brain sucks.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
I'm on it 2x a day- suppositories. Not sure for how long. My progesterone was 11.9- they said it was the low end of normal. Betas have all looked good. No idea when I ovulated!

@jerzegirl201 Haha, the suppositories three times a day aren't what I would call "fun" (they are messy), but like you said, will be totally worth it!
My dr tested my progesterone level a week after I ovulated and it was 86! But I am on a medicated cycle..

I'm concerned about what I'm reading regarding Estrace. I think I'll call my nurse back today with some questions.
