AW - A/S Update!

Quick background: at our NT scan, we found that the baby had a cystic hygroma, which is basically a buildup of fluid at the back of the neck that is often associated with chromosomal abnormalities, other abnormalities, and loss. We had the Panorama test which showed a <1/10,000 risk for the major chromosomal abnormalities, and we declined an amnio because we weren't comfortable with the risk, however small.
So I had my anatomy scan yesterday, and not only did everything look normal, but the cystic hygroma has resolved!
\:D/The doctor who did the scan, as well as my own doctor, were both very clear that this does not erase the fact that the CH was there, and those risks still exist because of the fact that it was there. Because we didn't do the amnio, we haven't ruled out various genetic syndromes, and not everything would show up on an A/S. BUT, a good A/S is hugely reassuring and we like the fact that the CH has resolved. All in all, we are feeling very good about this little one! Next step, fetal echo next week!
Oh, and we are still Team Green!
