So two weeks ago, 11/10, I was diagnosed with a tubal pregnancy in my left tube. After serious debate and conversations, I decided to get the methotrexate shot. On day four my betas doubled so I planned for the worse for day seven. I had my dad take off time to help me with the baby and cleaned the house all nice. I was convinced I was going to need surgery. But low and behold my levels dropped 22%. I was surprised, happy, and felt bad for making my dad take off time. (But he loved spending extra time with his granddaughter)
Well fast forward to yesterday. I went back to the doctor sure numbers decreased as I finally started bleeds Friday. Had a messy house and took baby with me to the doctors, no one lined up for help. And my numbers jumped back up. The doctor offered another round of methotrexate but I refused. I'm still breastfeeding and almost dried up last time. Also, I didn't want to put more poison in my body and was tired of the waiting game. We scheduled my surgery for today at four. He didn't seem to worried since I wasn't in bad pain. Well two hours later I was at home doubled over in a lot of pain. Luckily, MH decided to come home early. I told him he didn't need to since surgery wasn't until the next day. He said your numbers are going up, so it's growing. I want yo be there in case something happens. Thank god he did!! We went to the emergency, my doctor was on call, and was in the er within two hours. I lost my tube as it was ready to rupture at any second. My husband got to see pictures and he couldn't believe it hadn't ruptured yet. I'm surprised I wasn't in pain until then!
Well I'm at home recovering. My shoulder is killing my from the gas. It's worse then the incisions right now and my baby girl is annoyed with momma for leaving her. I feel like a bad mom on so many levels but I know I'm doing my best. Can any one tell me what to expect recovery wise? An suggestions for helping with the shoulder pain or when it will go away.
Thank you ladies for everything. Don't know what I would do without you.
