Snoring

So I NEVER snored, ever.  Well in the last week my husband has told me that I am now all of a sudden snoring loudly and frequently to the point where he has to wake me up and asks me to switch sides (which as you all know can be a bit of a pain and annoyance at this point in the pregnancy). I started googling and noticed that this is a very common symptom in the third trimester. Any other ladies dealing with this? I feel bad that my SO is having to deal with snoring now, but then again, he isn't having to carry around a bowling ball all day like I am.  Good thing we have extra bedrooms!

Re: Snoring

  • When I am dozing off (usually at a time when I'm not ready for bed), my snoring wakes me up. Lol. SO hasn't complained about it in the night, but he's a heavy sleeper- so idk.

  • I have never been a snoorer but pregnancy brings it out in me ;) my husband and I don't sleep in the same room anymore. I sleep in the guest bedroom on the brand new bed I just bought. It's really comfy.
  • My husband says he has not noticed, but I have woken myself up a couple times in the last few weeks snoring!  I'm embarrassing myself!
  • Uh, he can always buy some earplugs? I've always snored like a chainsaw, so.. lol That's what my boyfriend had to do, when we realised my snoring was pretty awful

  • When I was pregnant with DS I was the worst.  We ended up with a bizarre system of DH with earplugs and me in a semi-sitting position propped up by eleventy-thousand pillows.

No complaints (yet) this time around.

  • I find a humidifier helps some!
Excited for our new little one!  Two Angels remain in our prayers.

  • Yup!!! For some reason, only when sleeping on my left side. The day might come when we sleep in separate bedrooms for the remainder of the pregnancy. I can't handle being woken up to roll over when I am already waking up because of hip pain and to pee.

  • YES! I do not snore but I have been so stuffed the last few weeks. The other night I snored so hard I woke myself up and my husband just started laughing! I consider it pay back because he snores all the time!
  • OMG yes! I am so glad I am not the only one.  I have decided to go to the guestroom tonight, but I literally almost went postal on my husband last night when he kept waking me up to switch sides last night. It takes me forever to fall asleep as it is and I am up 4 times a night to pee.  He has been a bad snorer for years and I always take one for the team and sleep somewhere else when he snores instead of waking him up.  I figure I am the one bothered by it so I should go somewhere else.  I was hoping I would get the same from him, but he is apparently oblivious right now, so looks like I'm in the guest room if I don't want to be woken up every couple hours.

  • I wake myself up snoring if I end up on my back. I think I snore regularly but DH snores worse so he knows not to mess with me about it... I'd seriously throat punch him if he ever work me up from my snoring while pregnant...

  • My nasal congestion has me sounding like a chainsaw! I feel your pain. I've woken myself up a few times too. ;)

  • I just started noticing that I've been snoring. It's woken me up a few times and then when I said something about it H said I've been doing it awhile now, especially when I'm on my right side.
