Am I really crazy?

This whole pregnancy (which is my first) I swore I wasn't pregnant. I haven't had a bit of symptoms. My doctor confirmed my pregnancy through a urine test, however no sickness, no breast tenderness, or even over active bladder, had me concerned. Even digestive symptoms are at a minimum, I've never been "regular" any way. But at 8 weeks and 1 day I swear to you ladies I felt a flutter, and like I said I haven't had the gas or constipation. Did I really feel my baby move!? I'm convinced I did. After speaking with my mom she told me she felt me at 12 weeks and my sister around 10. Please don't judge me, ha, first pregnancy I'm a little weirded out by the whole experience.

Re: Am I really crazy?

  • You are definitely not feeling baby at this point. It's probably just gas. At 8 weeks, your baby is only the size of a raspberry.

  • Yeah you are not feeling fetal movement. There is no way. Your baby is the size of like a blueberry, so you won't feel that moving around
  • Thank you! I told my husband "oh gosh it's moving" and could hardly sleep the rest of the night waiting for something else to happen.
  • You're lucky that you're not feeling sick. I feel nauseous almost always.
  • Another vote for gas.

  • @bibliothecary I don't care what you comment on any thread, but as long as you have those cats in your sig I'm going to love it!
  • With my first I felt him move quite early. I am pretty sure it wasn't at 8 weeks but it was at least a few weeks earlier than the baby books said was usual. I wasn't sure it was movement so I waited until after the books said I should feel it and sure enough the feeling was the same. My little guy ended up being a big baby so that may have something to do with the early movement.
