Low lying placenta at 18 weeks.

I had an ultrasound done at 18 weeks and when I went in to visit my OB around 20 weeks, he told me that the people who did my ultrasound thought my placenta was very low. He told me not to worry because 9 times out of 10 it moves, but of course I'm still a little nervous. This is my second pregnancy and I had no complications whatsoever with my first so I'm not sure what to think of it.

Has anyone else ever had a low lying placenta? Did yours eventually move? Thanks in advance!

I'm waiting for mine to move. Search placenta previa... the majority of the time when it's diagnosed before 20 weeks it does move. Only time will tell. Hang in there!

I'm in the same position. I have complete previa, so my placenta is completely covering my cervix. My doctor seems to think it will move, she isn't sure if it will move enough. I'm 20 weeks, my 3rd pregnancy and I have never felt with this before.

I had a low lying placenta and was put on restrictions at 16 weeks (no sex, no bending, no climbing, no stairs, just take it easy). At 24 weeks my placenta moved up.

With my first pregnancy I had a complete previa at 18 weeks and was put on pelvic rest.  I had another scan at 28 weeks and the placenta has moved up enough for it not to be an issue.

I just wanted to update this thread, I've had complete previa since week 14, today my ultrasound showed it's as moved up enough that I can come off bed rest, and expect no more problems.
