How long after getting your membranes "stripped" could you expect labor?

My doctor did it today and I was wondering if anyone had this done and what to expect. She said it could happen in the next 24 hours.

Results vary. It could help kick-start labor, or it could do nothing.

Had mine stripped last Monday. And again today. It'll only work if your body is ready and I think within 48 hours usually.
ETA.....same with ds, had it done twice. I can't remember the time frame from the last sweep and labor though.

Results vary. I was in labor about 5 hrs after the strip, DS was here 17 hrs later. But my sister had it done and nothing happened.
