LOVING not commuting today!

I left my job last March, after agreeing to stay through what turned out to be an unusually cold and snowy winter. Today, we are having tons of snow and it's windy and icy, too. It's supposed to be about at the worst for the 5:00 commute. I am SOOOOOO Loving just being home today and watching the snow swirl outside. Our only outing was to pick up DS from preschool, before it got very snowy, and now we can just stay in and be cozy. We even made some cookies. These are the days that there is nothing better than SAH!

This is my first winter as a SAHM. I'm looking forward to the first snow day with the kids!

By the end of the winter you will prefer to be working on snow days. They get old with kids in the house quickly.

Maybe in a year or two when I'm more burned out and used to more in school. I only have one in kindergarten so far and I still love when she is home on days off and weekends.

That's what snow suits are for, or do kids not play in the snow anymore?!

It's not like a cold rainy day where you are literally stuck inside.

I agree. Unless it's terribly windy the kids are outside everyday. Even if just for 20 minutes.
