Has anyone ever looked at the Lightning deals? Kind of cool. I'm looking at them for toy ideas for Christmas. They had a ton of accessories for play kitchens over the weekend. The toys kind of suck today but they have 2 nice diaper bags coming up today if anyone is looking for one. My only problem with lightning deals is that I'm super-indecisive. Not sure they're going to do me any good.
Re: Amazon deals
I've noticed a steady price increase on toys on Amazon. I had saved a few toys in my cart to show DH over the weekend. I opened my cart today and every toy had a price increase notice. It was a small increase, but it was there. I guarantee there will be another increase or two before a "discount" on them.
The toys are still cheaper on Amazon and free shipping so I won't complain but the discount % can be misleading.
I have also noticed stores like Wal-Mart will increase a price of something in the weeks leading up to BF then have a "sale" where it is back to the previous price. I believe JCP used to do this as well?
This is one of the many reasons I skip the whole Black Friday debacle and shop online. I am stubborn enough to spend 30 minutes finding the best deal. And if I get cash back on Ebates, it's a bonus.
I stocked up on a few lightening deal toys that I'll hold on to for upcoming birthday parties for DD's school friends. Double bonus is that I don't have to shop.
The only thing that has frustrated me with the lightening deals is that some of the Melissa and Doug stuff sells out immediately. Literally I went to buy something the minute it went on sale and before I could click "buy" it was sold out. And I have prime so not sure how that happened.
I love Amazon. A bit less now that their prime went from $80-$99 per year. And this year my state started charging tax. But still, I plan to keep using them for the forseeable future.
