I think I'm about to binge watch Harry Potter. I miss being able to go to work, and while I know it will be worth it, I think bed rest sucks giant balls!
My bump time will be very limited today, and tomorrow. -sigh- my MIL called yesterday saying they are coming tomorrow instead of Wednesday. I've gotta haul ass to clean house. It's not a 'mess' or 'dirty' but I feel like I need to organize things, esp my kitchen since we'll be in there mostly the next few days and I want no judgment that I just throw things in drawers, and Tupperware just thrown into a cupboard. I want to pretend I've got my shit together and I keep an immaculate house.
I just had my OB appt. Like I suspected, she's in a weird position, it appears she's wedged sideways. At my next appt I'll have an ultrasound, and if she's still sideways, I'll have to have a version prior to my c-section. All I can do is laugh at this point!
@ExcitedMama2 I wish I could say I haven't done that, but I would be lying. I'm about to start trying out depilatory creams because clippers and razors are just too dangerous right now.
Just spoke with my dr about my "hernia" (self diagnosed). She doesn't think it's a hernia because I don't have other risk factors for that but she suspects it could be a Floating Rib, which apparently isn't serious, but it can be painful. I'm going in at the end of the day for her to examine me and if she doesn't know what it is she's going to send me to the emergency room. Lovely - sounds like I have a GREAT night ahead of me!
I'm going to work a few more hours and then I'll leave. Ugh.
My TMI random: I finally did some trimming up down there...and cut myself. Lovely. I can't even see where I cut myself, I just saw the blood on the trimmers. Think I should ask my doc to check it out for me? hahaha
@Maebb sorry your son isn't feeling well today! Weirdest thing ever my DD did the same thing. She threw up everywhere last night. I cleaned it up she fell asleep and then I could hear her whimpering and talking all night in her sleep. She climbed in bed with me about 5:30 and tossed and turned until we got up at 10. She seemed fine but if she walks too much she throws up again. No fever nothing. So weird!
I think I got a grand total of 3 hours last night. Between my daughter and my poor BIL in the middle of an unreal made for TV movie drama it was a very exciting night last night!

@papapalie - I waited until DS was about 4 weeks old so that my milk supply had regulated a little bit. I bought a few stretchy sleep bras and some nursing tanks that I lived in the first 4 weeks. I just layered the nursing tanks with a t-shirt on top when I went out and that worked fine.
With that said, I've been wearing my nursing bras comfortably for the last month or so since my regular ones don't fit very well anymore.
@hiphopdancer2007, sorry your daughter is sick. DS is acting ok today but not eating too much. He just had a bite of pumpkin bread and some dry cereal. The puke clothes and sheets are in the dryer, and my hands smell nice after giving him a bath with some coconut oil and other good stuff in there, so that's a positive!
I'm having raspberry turnovers and vanilla ice cream for breakfast. I figure I deserve it since the last few days of us all being sick have sucked so hard.

Hmm, I didn't realize their position mattered with a csection. I haven't even thought about his position since I knew it would be a csection anyway! ..........
It doesn't matter if she's breech, but they can't pull her out sideways through a c-section incision. She's gotta be either head or feet first.
@papapalie, you can ask on the BF board, but I think most people may recommend waiting until you have the baby because your boobs could change sizes again once your milk supply gets established.
For me they didn't change much, and I've been wearing nursing tanks throughout my pregnancy along with a normal bra.
We have our 3d us scheduled for today! So excited to see our son and hopefully do dinner by ourselves while family watches m! Here's a pic from this weekend that I just love of my Dh and dd!
@bookitboo, I hope they're as easy as they look! I'll let you know how they turn out. Michaels had plain red cupcake liners for Mickey and pink with white polka dots for Minnie, so at least that's a good start.
Yesterday morning DH and I laid in bed for like an hour playing 90's dance music for the baby.
Want to know how I got there? Well someone mentioned Cherry Coke and then I thought Savage Garden and then I thought "we should have played that yesterday"
@ExcitedMama2 I love Vanilla Coke but can't find it anywhere.
I didn't get a Coke after all. I ate an apple and drank a cup of water from the office cooler. Because I am responsible. (This is day 3 of an unfulfilled Coke craving though - I am giving into it sooner or later!!!)
I figured I could ask in here and get answers. When do we go get nursing bras? Do you wait until after you have the baby or should I go soon?
At the breastfeeding class I went to last week, the LC said with a month or two of your EDD should be fine. If you're properly measured, they'll account for a little extra room for when your milk comes in.

I wasted money buying nursing bras before my daughter was born. They definitely DID NOT fit. Not even close.

Are there brands of bras and nursing tanks that you guys like in particular? I have a small band size, and boob size to be honest, so some cheaper places (like target) are out for me. A lot of places only seem to offer band size 34 and up.
My mom keeps asking if I want to take a children's table and chairs that was hers when she was little. That would be great, except she was born in the 40s, so it is painted with lead based paint. I REALLY don't want to deal with trying to strip off the lead based stuff and repaint it. That is not a small project. I keep trying to nicely tell her no, but she keeps asking me.
We have gotten a decent amount of hand me downs, which is wonderful and for which I am extremely thankful, but sometimes I feel like people are using us to unload stuff that isn't really usable anymore. And, there are a few, select things that I want to purchase new (mainly for safety type reasons).
I want peppermint bark and don't have any. Maybe I should make some. *snort* yeah in between chasing the toddler, grocery shopping, and trying not to die with all these contractions. Yipee. But maybe the bark would make me feel better.

Can you take it and store it away some where? OR possibly just spray paint epoxy over and not deal with striping the old paint off?
I don't really want to just take something to store. We don't have a huge house and it will just take up space. I didn't think about the epoxy though. I haven't seen it, so I am not sure how great the paint is still holding up, or that it isn't chipping.

--------------------------- Maybe tell her you would love to take it....after she strips and paints it for you
@ExcitedMama2-- That's what I thought, but I didn't know if it had changed in 2.5/3 years. haha. My friend on the March12 board had a scheduled c-section about a week before her EDD and her daughter still hadn't flipped by then, so S was born via c-section.
It's 4 here and DD is napping. I laid on the couch for a bit to try to nap, but my hips and pelvis say no -_- Totally ok to take a bath in the middle of the day right? Lol

I did today. My lower back and upper portion of one of my hips needed it. haha.
I'm sitting at my desk surfing the web & reading the Bump instead of working. Again.
I'm not a Bachelor fan, but after the little preview I saw on Yahoo, I may have to watch it this season. Sometimes a little trash TV is all you really want!!!
Come on Wednesday!!!!!
Myles was so pumped about the baby . . . until he figured out he'd have to share all his toys!!! >

I tried a few different brands from Amazon since I have prime and could ship the ones that didn't work back for free but to be honest I never really found one I loved. I was a 34F/G after my milk came in and really at that point, no bra was comfy.
Re: Monday Randoms
Why oh why did I offer my house this year! ?

Dh and dd!
@Maebb those are the cutest cupcakes ever. I'm totally stealing the idea for DS's 'school party.'
