Ectopic Pregnancy

edited November 2014 in Parenting
Hello
On Friday I suffered a E.P and had emergency surgery. My left tube was partially removed.

Anyone have any success stories after such a loss at getting pregnant

Anything would be greatly appreciated. We thought we were going in for our first u/s and we left hours later with stitches and heartache. I feel very alone and trying to gather information from other females
Thanks
Megan

Re: Ectopic Pregnancy

  • I suffered an EP resulting in a ruptured Fallopian tube in 2011. I had a miscarriage in 2012 and got pregnant with my son in the spring of 2013.

Take time to heal yourself and don't rush your body. It is possible honey, just take care of yourself. Feel free to message me if you want to talk.

  • I had an ectopic pregnancy in early dec of 2012. It ended in emergency surgery. My tube was 'saved' but I'm sure there is damage because it had ruptured. (I was bleeding internally for days) I got pregnant on my first period after surgery and gave birth in oct 2013. I know once you've already been pregnant it's supposedly easier to get pregnant again. Best of luck and try not to be discouraged!
  • I'm so so sorry. I've never had an EP but I do know how hard loss is. Give yourself time to heal physically and emotionally. Please remember to be kind to yourself. It's a rough road. I wish you the best of luck. I second the previous suggestion of looking at the loss boards. Those ladies are extremely supportive and knowledgeable.
  • I'm sorry for your loss. I have never had an EP but did have two losses and then healthy pregnancies after, and I'll echo others that the TTCAL and PGAL boards are great. Hugs.
  • Thank you so much for everyone's comments. It gives me hope hearing success stories from others
