Zarbees vs hylands

Does anyone use a natural cough medicine? Lucas has croup which we did go to our pediatrician to get a dose of an oral corticosteroid. I just wondered if anyone else used and has found the natural cough syrups useful.

We didn't have the croup but we had a really awful cough.  I tried Zarbees and it really helped.   I loved the night time one because something in there helped him sleep.  I've heard good things about Hylands too.  Like for picky children it's easier to hid in juice (I guess it's cherry).  A good friend said it worked like a charm when she need to knock her kid out for the night.
