My body had been totally out of whack since I had heavily breastfed for so long, so I only had one period in between babies. I felt all crazy with nausea and fatigue and sore boobs and food/smell aversions but those symptoms had come and gone with hormonal changes over the month before getting BFP. I tested a few times, but they were all negative so I began totally ignoring the symptoms and chalking them up to post breastfeeding weirdness until one morning I just could NOT stop peeing. And I hated every smell. And I just wanted to lay down on the couch. It was 11:30 am, I'd had coffee and water and food but DH told me (on my like 8th trip to the potty) to test, just to rule it out... SURPRISE! BFP!
Second+ time moms who breastfed will understand this feeling, but my first symptom/sign that I was PG was a tingling sensation in my boobs--identical to a milk letdown. I was sitting on the couch when it happened and couldn't believe it. It was two weeks before my missed period.
Same here! But my very first symptom was SUPER SMELL! DH took one bite of a sandwich but the entire car reeked of it.
I noticed a little bit of blood (only once) after flossing my teeth a few days before the positive test. I'd never really had issues with that before, and hadn't been slacking in the dental hygiene dept. I remembered my dentist saying that that was how he knew one of his regular patients was pregnant. Gum swelling/issues are more common in pregnancy.

This. I totally had this. it was about a week before my BFP. I breastfed DS for 2 years, but that was over 12 years ago. Hadn't felt that sensation in a looooonnnng time.
pickles26 Hahhaa you make me feel better now for taking 3 tests! It got some what addictive and I was tempted to spend more money on another box of tests. I just loved seeing the double line appear. Like the best magic trick i'll ever see in my life.
