having every symptom under the sun EXCEPT a positive test?

Re: having every symptom under the sun EXCEPT a positive test?

  • You can get negative tests but still be pregnant.. With my first I didn't get a positive test until I was 2mths along.. However my second pregnancy I knew I was pregnant before the tests even told me I was. All at home tests were once again negative and it took a blood test To show positive ( that was so early the dr told me not to get my hopes up) I now have two beautiful babies and once again I too am having symptoms galore.. all tests I've taken are negative but like they all are saying I'm waiting a week to test again. I have every symptom you've listed and some. I'm nervous though because I'm prone to cysts and if this is cyst related it would be my first time missing a period due to one. My cycles are anywhere from 26-28 days I'm now on cd31. Besides the pms like symptoms does anyone know of any other symptoms I should look for if it is cysts related?
    Sorry this is so long.

Lol. Where do all these people get this magical urine and blood that doesn't turn pregnancy tests when they are sure they are pregnant. Mine showed up as pregnant on a first response pink due test the same time a blood draw was like 15 miu. I guess the difference was I am actually pregnant. Op... Negative means not pregnant at this time. And if you are pregnant enough for that laundry list of symptoms you would be pregnant enough to turn a test.
I'm gonna throw this out there, just because it's weird. My mom (who has two children) never got a positive pregnancy test. Her doctor ran bloodwork when she was 7 months or so, just because... I mean come on, lady, you're obviously very pregnant. Still came up negative.

I don't know if there's something messed up about how her body produces hormones (or doesn't?), and this was in the 80s when they had significantly less fancy HPTs than we have. But seriously, even bloodwork from the doctor said she wasn't pregnant.

I was actually super worried that it'd be a genetic thing, but my cheapo drug store test came up all kinds of positive.

No idea what would possibly cause that, but I can't imagine it's common.

  • Munchausen OP?

  • OP, I often find that when someone tries to explain every single detail in their story... They're probably lying.

However, maybe you're not, in which case everyone here, including myself, would love to hear the outcome of your tests. ;)
  • Have gone through the same thing you have. Not 1 positive pregnancy test or blood test. So I just let people lead me to believe I was crazy. Then I for some reason other than my symptoms of pregnancy I went to the doctors just to find out that I was indeed pregnant and 20 weeks at that point.
All that to say this.... Some of you smart asses on here don't know everything. If you don't have words of encouragement shut up. I have a healthy 7 yr old daughter out of the exact type of situation. So what do you have as proof?Hmmmm?.........exactly what I thought. And FYI I am pregnant again. I had the same problems but due to my history we were able to find out earlier. So this does happen and I and my Childern are living proof.

Dude, if I am pregnant right now & all my pee sticks have been negative (day 121 of my cycle) then that would be insanity. Your situation is far from average.

^^^ this is not very helpful or encouraging for the average person, though. In fact, it's kind of mean-spirited. Not everyone gets their kids to come home with them "as proof" of whateverthefuck their pee stick situation was. That doesn't make any of their average, you're-not-pg-if-the-HPT-is-negative stories any less valid than yours.

If having kids proved anything other than dumb luck & biology then that would be something. Yikes.
