I hate holding doors open for people. I always end up standing stationary waiting while someone behind me runs to the door, all to keep them from having to extend their arm and pull lightly on a handle. I also hate running when someone holds the door open for me in an exaggerated way when I'm way behind them. Please. Just leave me be I think I can open a door.
I also hate it when people talk to me in elevators. I don't know you and I'm trapped here with you and I think it's a little bit unfair of them to assume I'd like to hear what they have to say.
It annoys me to no end when parents feel the need to tell a teacher how great their kid is. Let me form my own opinion! Your kid is not perfect, none are.
Eta: also drives me crazy that some parents don't want their kids to lose recess for misbehavior. I get that they need to let off steam and play, but there needs to be a consequence. I think staying part of recess is fine.
I believe that if you are an educator, then you should have basic grammar and punctuation mastered. I don't care if you're a math teacher or a gym teacher... please learn the difference between your, you're, to, & too. You teach/will teach my kid.

I am a math teacher and this also drives me crazy! They should also know the difference between their, they're, and there, it's and its, and soul and sole. There is a coach/math teacher who often emails the whole staff to ask for a "kind sole" to cover his afternoon classes when he has to coach out of town. I can never bring myself to volunteer just because of his mistake.
ETA: I also can't stand when people use "defiantly" or other incorrectly spelled versions of "definitely." I'm looking at you, classmates in my online grad classes!

I agree with you, but 'defiantly' is an actual word.
I don't like pies (I always have to make my own desserts for Thanksgiving).
I love all pies but hate spongy- type cake products. Birthday cake, cupcakes, angel food cake - no thank you. Though I will eat every bit of icing off said cake.

I'm talking about using defiantly when the author meant to say definitely.
We finally got around to watching the movie Gravity. Yawn! I don't understand what all the fuss was about. But I fell asleep during Avatar so go figure.

I won't even watch Gravity because of the part in the previews where Sandra Bullock's character is floating away and her harness isn't connected anymore. The thought of that actually happening terrifies me.
But then, the last few years we had crazy snow storms and the governor called work off about once every 1-2 weeks, and that made it all a lot more likeable.
I hate pie with a passion. I can eat the filling out of some of them, but unless it's a graham or cookie crust I'm not touching the crust. MIL finally caught on and made a "cobbler" for me once, with a pie crust on the bottom...at least she tried?
I love winter and hate summer. I wish it snowed here and accumulated before January. My favorite seasons are fall and spring though.

This is ke exactly. I hate pie, except some fillings. I don't really care for summer, but love winter. I want lots of snow, but I do not want to have to drive in it.

Kind of like this season of American Horror Story!
I'm still a summer person though.
