Hi Everyone!
After following your stories for the past couple of months I decided it's time I finally introduce myself.
My husband and I are both 37 and after trying to get pregnant for 8 years my husband and I had finally come to peace with the fact that we were going to be parents to our then 4 yr old son whom we adopted when he was 1. We had always pictured our family having lots of kids and dogs running around. Having 3 dogs we had that part taken care of but it looked like we'd have 1 - amazing, healthy and smart son, and we were more than happy with that.
This past Spring I had noticed that I was "late" but had been training to run my first half marathon so I figured that it was just my body adjusting itself. A few weeks after my run I decided to just go buy a test so that I could just rule that out and for the first time in my life there were 2 lines. To say I was shocked is a huge understatement! My husband has had a grin on his face since that day and our now 5 yr old son is excited about the baby coming and often comments that my belly is getting bigger so the baby is getting bigger too. I know he is going to be a great, big brother.
We are due January 28th and are team green. We figured everything about this baby has been a surprise, we'll just continue the trend.
After 8 yrs of ttc little one is due Jan. 28
Big brother is excited to meet this little one!
